“Good was great and atmosphere was fun. Service was abysmal, basically non-existent. Got the prime rib special and we both ordered the medium size but one was much smaller than the other. Luckily the meat was cooked well and very tasty. The potatoes were old school slow cooked baked potatoes. Only low point of the food was the veggies, they were a soggy overcooked mess like you would get in an old diner or many are growing up at home before we learned how to cook them right. We really enjoyed our dinner and not sure if it was the slightly off time we visited or staff was just in a party mood since it was Saturday on the holiday weekend but I had to get up and go get menus after about 10 minutes of sitting there waiting. Then took forever to take out order, food took quite a while to come out, and I had to go get up and go to bar to get it drink refilled or all for condiments that they forgot it needed anything extra. And had to wait for bar orders to be taken before I could even ask for what was needed. Bartender seemed to be the only one working. The other workers seemed to be congregating and more interested in karaoke starting soon than anything else. Good was great and we would go again but hope the service was a fluke.”

“What an experience here. Loved the staff and our food. Well, the Drunken Noodles ordered by friend was a better than my Yellow curry. Definitely give it a try as I am going to visit again only to eat Drunken Noodles. It looks like there was an old Thai place but honestly the food they serve today (09/09/2023) was beyond delicious. The staff was able to respect our needs and did a great job. Highly recommend.”

“These are THE BEST breakfast burritos I've had in a long time. The tortillas are legit with great flavor even by itself. The eggs were perfectly cooked and all other ingredients are of good quality. Get the green chili breakfast burrito, it's phenomenal. The Denver is also good as well and the salsa was fresh and I would say is between a medium and a mild for how spicy it is IMO. My gold standard is Romero's down in the valley and I wasn't sure what to expect being out of the valley it's always been a coin toss for me. I'm adding Fossil creek Farm to my Google maps list of favorite places.”

“I’m going to be honest, I’m a bit shocked by the negative reviews. I stayed at Kohl’s Ranch Lodge with my family and we ate here for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is fantastic!! We ate almost every type of food on the menu and it was all delicious. The staff were extremely kind and seemed happy to be there. Pizza and sliders were top notch and the best item on the menu is the cobbler(both the peach and blueberry)!! It was perfectly spiced with the right amount of sweetness and I have thought about it almost everyday since our stay.”

Drinks reasonable, only $2.50, for a large iced tea or soda with refills to go. Pies homemade daily and HUGE slices! The Reuben was piled high with corned beef and homemade sourkraut. Onion rings battered and served at no extra charge. Patty melt filled my husband with some left over. Fries battered and seasoned. Give it a try but arrive before 3pm as it closes early!”

“This was my first experience with a Maverick store and it was a real pleasure. I was staying at the Quality Inn next door for 3 months so I visited this store everyday and sometimes twice. The entire staff was always nice and the store and bathrooms were always clean. I would like to recognize Laurie, Lucy, and Tina for making my day evertime I saw you. You three are something special and a great asset to this store. Thank you to all of you for the warm smiles and great laughs! “This restaurant is a true gem! Chef Scott was a top Scottsdale chef who chose a simpler life. The food is amazing!!!! Chef Scott orders high quality beef and will even cook burgers/steak extra-extra rare. I've had nearly everything on the menu. My favorites are the blue cheese burgers, Asian stir fry, crusted chicken, and anything they put their amazing gravy on. If they ever have espresso sauce, try it! You will be blown away. “My wife and I stopped here because we were in search of Mexican lunch and wanted to sit outside for safety reasons. We fell upon this restaurant at the edge of town and the reviews were OK and the ambiance very average, but we took a seat anyway as we were hungry. Everything forward was a pleasant surprise - our waitress was wonderful, the nachos and salsa fresh and really good and our meals were outstanding. I had chicken enchiladas and my wife had Machaka tacos (or something like that). I wish our local Mexican was as good as this restaurant we highly recommend.”
