“We came here on a Saturday evening in March. The mesquite grilled chicken was fresh and flavorful. The sides; macaroni salad, pinto beans, and rice were delicious as well. The corn tortillas and salsas were also top-notch and contributed to a terrific meal. The restaurant, restrooms, and tables were very clean. The staff was courteous and eager to please. As a bonus the picnic tables outside the restaurant offered us a beautiful view of the Catalina mountains. For the money, this dining experience was hard to beat. We will be back soon!”

“Came here for the first time to try out the Sonoran hot dogs and tacos. We were hoping for some Taco Tuesday specials but there aren't any which is acceptable. The staff is kind, the food is really good and comes out quickly. They were out of almost all bottled drinks except water. I will probably try it out again in the future.”

“We had a group of 12 friends to celebrate a birthday. It was very busy and crowded. No reservations taken so we took a chance they could serve us. They were opening a second room and already had a large table set up for us within 20 minutes and we were fortunate to get Justin as our server. He totally rocked our whole evening. Several different checks, lots of back and forth drink and snack orders. Justin handled it all with style and Grace and helped make our event smooth as glass. Absolutely the best service ever!!! Drinks were cold, food was hot and tasty. Overall a special evening. We will be more regular customers after this experience. Go support this unique, employee-owned Tucson business. “I had tried their hanger steak salad for lunch a few weeks ago and have been waiting to come for a weekend nosh with the family. Food is excellent, and be prepared for massive portions. The take home boxes are roomy and high quality, so nothing lost. Ambience is modern rustic, servers are friendly and attentive. There are plenty of seating options, such as; cozy indoor table and chairs, counter, patio tables, and outdoor lounge seating. “I’m from the south and you know we know our fried chicken! I have lived in Arizona for the last 13 years so I was ecstatic when I heard about this place because finding good fried chicken in Arizona is like pulling teeth. The food looks bomb but definitely isn’t all that great. It’s the flavor profiles that are lacking really for me! The “fried chicken” batter tasted like “funnel cake” batter which was off putting for me especially since I got the chicken and waffles so you can imagine my surprise when my chicken tasted similar to my waffle. 🤷♂️ I didn’t really like it but I give 3 stars for effort.”

They've remembered my name for years even though I rarely visit, and the food is absolutely to die for — and made to order if their eclectic, diverse menu isn't enough. They're great to work with for events too. They made the favors (custom cookies) for my wedding in November, on time and to raving comments from all our guests. I highly recommend their signature oatmeal scotchies. This is the most legit cafe in downtown that doesn't cost a fortune. It's a charming, simple spot for real food that feels home cooked. They'll always come by to refill your coffee, call you by name, and make sure you're happy by the time you leave. The only complainers you'll see here are probably themselves the problem, not the restaurant.”
