“I happened to walk by and noticed that they had Indian spice flavored pizzas and I had to try it! The guy at the register (owner I think) was very nice and friendly and helped me pick the pizza I actually really enjoyed! Wow, the ingredients are clean and fresh and the crust is just perfect- not too thin and not too thick, perfectly crispy. “Our family bought a Christmas Eve lunch from Cali Alley. And wow, it was delicious. Firstly, it seemed that they were taking all the appropriate COVID precautions (which I appreciate). Secondly, the food was all incredible. Everything was packaged neatly. The short rib specifically was my favorite. It was so tender and had a great, bright flavor. We also had the blueberry cheesecake. The crust, oh my! I need the recipe!! Overall, I had a great experience with Cali Alley and hope to buy more soon.”

“Gaumenkitzel is doing an amazing job adapting to shelter in place with to go orders! We enjoyed one of our favorite meals from the comfort of home tonight. Placing the order online was easy, everything was ready right on time when I went to pick it up and they’d done a great job creating a system in the restaurant to maintain social distancing, including 6ft squares on the floor, a designated table for food pick up, and contactless payments. “I love Sierra Nevada, but the bartender shorted our growler fills significantly. For some of the fills, you’re paying $25 for a 32oz growler fill, and she left about half the bottle as foam on both our 32oz and 64oz fills. She was either lazy or didn’t have a clue how to properly fill a growler (this was on a Sunday at around 2pm). The beer was great, the food was good, but the service was very lacking. I’m a Chico alum and I always loved the brewery up in Chico, I’m disappointed that the quality of service was not the same at Torpedo room.”

The pizza (small) for being priced at $12 and some change was not bad, but I have frequented other local spots that tasted the same and priced slightly less. They are open longer than other places which helps a hungry soul like myself- but that is the major benefit.”

“I've gone twice to redeem and pick up free promotional crunchy and soft tacos, and they were standard quality for Taco Bell. The location is perfect for people living on Southside. The inside of the restaurant is kept very clean, but the door is always hard to open. Haven't seen it very packed yet, but I presume it can get quite popular late at night. Additionally, as a Taco Bell Cantina, they are allowed to serve alcohol.”

“I come here for my salads every time I visit Berkeley. It's one of the highlights of my day each time. Such flavorful and hearty salads. Everything is fresh and of a high quality. “A hidden gem in Berkeley. Chef Paul actually works in his kitchen. A lot of "chefs" with big names in the Bay Area don't work in their kitchens and they're not cooking the food. Chef Paul is involved in every aspect of his kitchen and services. The menu top to bottom is delicious and I've witnessed Chef Paul and his staff preparing most if not all of what's on the menu. Summer Kitchen isn't just a cute name, it's an idea Chef Paul takes seriously, but not too seriously, and he's a pleasure to be around.”
