“Great family-owned local restaurant. Nothing special compared to the selection of nearby Vietnamese places but also passes a high bar for flavor and service. Got the Egg Roll & Grilled Pork vermicelli; tasted fresh and delicious.”

“Very good burgers. I'm so happy Roam opened in Oakland, I used to go to the Union St one. I always order the French & Fries burger, it's my favorite one. The shakes are so so so gooooood. I recommend the chocolate and the caramel YUMMY! The place in general is nice, also.”

“I go here for lunch about once a month. It's generally good, decent prices fast Indian food. It's about as consistent as you'd expect an Indian chain to be.”

“I recently went to Shinmai for the first time. I came in for a 9pm reservation and was told a table would be ready soon. After waiting 15+ minutes, I asked the hostess how much longer until our table was ready, to which she responded with confusion it apparently had given our table to some other party who arrived after us. She quickly sat us and neglected to explain there was a special fixed price menu for the night. We continued to sit until a server finally came to our table, though it appeared to be by mistake as she kept looking down at her tickets in confusion. We proceeded to be all but forgotten about and observed others getting excellent service from the staff. Once the food started coming out we were finally being served as normal guests albeit an hour after the time of our reservation. The food was great and helped us forget about the poor service at the beginning. Hopefully this was a fluke, but not a great first impression.”

“Plenty. As in plenty of delicious food. I’m a generally healthy eater and this spot does not disappoint for healthy lunch options. Great bowls and salads. Meat or veggie. Cap it all off with a neighborhood feel and reliable warm smiles from the staff.”

“I was surprised at the menu option being so limited at especially at dinner. Oxtail, Jerk chicken and a salad is all I had to choose from. The food was good and the portion was good however, the price is on the higher end so no doubt that you’re paying for it. This is a nice Jamaican restaurant for our Americans and foreign visitors looking for a taste of island food. This is not for actual Jamaicans in my opinion.”

“This place is like my second home! I am here more than I am at my own house. The staff and regulars are some of the best people you will meet. The live music, the 45 Jukebox, the happy hour piano player make for a wonderful experience. Definitely my favorite bar in Oakland.”

“How ridiculous is this. Asking me what I think of Telegraph. I assume they mean Telegraph Avenue. They are asking me if I liked it and to tell you what I ordered. Hell Telegraph Avenue runs from Broadway in downtown Oakland to UC Berkeley. There are all sorts of places to eat that run from the mundane to amazing. As far as the street goes it is a miserable thoroughfare though at times visually stimulating. Whatever. I did not eat Telegraph Avenue regardless of the rumors. I drive it every day.”

“Great place. Staff are super friendly. Food is delicious and quick!! Prices are doable but I wouldn’t be able to eat here more than once a month with my income.”

“it's my guilty pleasure! The food is so good! I sometimes just crave those burgers with potato chips or the soft boiled egg on top of my rice bowl. Everything is extremely tasty.”

“They serve only one kind of pizza at a time and you can pick slices or pies of various sizes. All orders come with little slivers of the pizza (in addition to your order), hence the name "Sliver." delicious, wholesome food. Plenty of seating. Good price for what you're getting.”

“This location is SO SLOW. Last time I waited a mind-numbing 30 minutes in the drive thru. However, the people are nice and they almost always get my orders right.. so that's something.”

“From the name of the place I thought it would be cheap knock off food. However I was pleasantly surprised. The food is really good and well priced. Will be going back again.”

“ALL the unique choices on their menu are wonderful. Definitely eat out however, the inside of the restaurant is cluttered and small. Fast delivery as well.”

“Wish they had more gluten free options. The granola was great and the salads were huge! But the pastry station is where you want to look. There's a fresh fritata loaded with veggies and cheese, or a crispy croissant you can turn into a breakfast sandwich. The coffee was delicious and had sustainable straws for those iced lovers. You can stay and eat or grab something Togo from their refrigerated area. Stay local support local.”

“Simple, fast, and excellent. Filling a prescription over at Kaiser, and walked over here for some dinner. Eating alone so I was not in the mood for a long relaxing meal. I ordered the Thai chicken rice soup. It was on my table in fewer than 60 seconds, and I'm not exaggerating. The soup was hot, had a bit of a Thai flavor, and filled with amazing white meat chicken. Only complaint, and I won't take off points for this, the music playing on the wall mounted speakers was absolutely abhorrent. It was elevator music like from a parody about elevator music. But thankfully the volume was low enough where I could tune it out.”

“Great little restaurant. Quality food with speedy service. Found it due to parking right out front, was planning to go to another restaurant nearby and changed our minds due to time constraints which was a blessing in disguise. Salad and panini was fantastic, healthy and good quality.”

“Super lovely atmosphere, blending the golden hours of this autumn with peaceful music, spacious and breathy room and absolutely delicious food. Can't wait till 3pm to have a coffee.”

“The best.. Their meat is the softest I've ever had in my entire life. The chicken is not dry nor chewie and the server are very attentive. I was there for my wife's birthday and the server ans managers are very patience. Went there at 6:45. Finished at 9:30pm. Even though, they were very busy. Full house. We were there for 3 hours, and they let us enjoy the food. Comparable to other Korean BBQ All you can eat, that enforced a time limit of 1 hour.”

“Well to tell the truth I was whisked by and not given an opportunity to dine there by my husband. When I got home I ordered her cookbook on Amazon and feverishly made many of the dishes. They are easy to reproduce, but have many steps. Patients is your friend, although many of the steps can be done ahead of time. You will not regret buying her cook book and suspect from my delicious results that were tested on my husband and several friends, not with your dinning experience either. Going back to amazon to order her other book :)”

“Hole in the wall spot doesn't even accurately describe this place. If it hadn't been for a guy I was interested in taking me the very first time I went there, I would have never walked in. But thank goodness I did. Best fried oysters period. And huge portions.... Just take it to go.”

“Love the interior design. It's very catchy! The drinks they serve are great! I've visited this bar 3 times and my bartender Ben has been amazing every single time. It's very chill day and night from my experience. I've never had food here but I bet its good”

“Easily my favorite salad place. I started craving salads from Mixt well before I even liked most salads. I’ve been to a number of their locations, and they’re reliably good. This one in particular looks very open and airy inside, with tons of windows and natural light. If they really are open for lunch and dinner each day like their door currently claims, that could be dangerous for my wallet, but great for my health!”

“Soul-satisfying, healthy, delicious food and kind service. Their veggie combo platter is affordable, hearty and consistently delicious. Parking can be a challenge in this area, just as a warning. You wouldn't know by walking by what an amazing meal is served here....the counter is in the back and the storefront is filled with Ethiopian dry goods and cooking wares. It's a gem of a find!”

“Lots of food for little money, but the quality is just alright. I’ve had the falafel wrap many a time but it never is as tasty or fresh as others I’ve had elsewhere. It’s open late and great for a quick pick-me-up though, so if you’re hankering for loads of grub you should check it out.”

“Drake's is a really great food and beer garden location. It is large and has two inside areas for seating as well as bar and outdoor seating. Their outdoor seating area is really cool with trees and nice seating. The beer is really good here and so is the food. It is a really great place to meet with friends. It is also a quick walk from BART and other locations.”

“Had SO much fun! Definitely pushing booze with food (so what's the problem?) and love the movie kitsch decor. Unfortunately, they don't have cook at your table Style Korean BBQ which would be really nice. But, the food is wonderful and the service was fabulous. Eat, drink, and be merry!”
