“This place is definitely "outside the box" compared to others down the street. I ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza to go-not huge and I felt that the quality was ok but not mouth watering goodness. I do however love the fact that they are LGBT friendly. Parking was a challenge...more than usual in the area.”

“Love that you can get delicious hot and cold treats and customize to make your own. A little off the beaten path, but worth checking out. Was a little shocked by the music choice playing as it was loud and full of "adult language", but the shop had kids in an out. Would love to try again!”

“It has the most delicious pretzel on earth. The people who work there are nice and sociable. They take their time with you. They recommend food. Give you options. They are a bit expensive but worth it. Their lemonade is yummy too. When you buy as pretzel, order the cheesy dip with it, but don't count calories, just enjoy.”

“The location is pretty convenient. Right in the heart of West Oakland/Emeryville border. The tables are not really clean when you come early in the morning, which is when I usually go. I always have to search for a table that has been wiped down (because you seat yourself so you have to look for a clean table). The staff is great and always greet you. The food is good. The buttermilk pancakes, obviously, are the best.”

“My coffee was perfect, it was caramel latte. I also got a macaroon. The atmosphere is lovely here, music playing but not too loud, people were able to have a conversation. The service was excellent and attentive, but also careful prepared orders. The art on the wall is a lot of fun.”

“I've only has the bacon, egg, and cheese and coffee, but for a local joint it's good. Definitely get their Cold Brew it's delicious and they put time into making it. Great notes and flavors. They are also always trying to experiment with new dishes and the menu, so you'll always see something new when you go in. Go here for a good vibe.”

“The food here is possibly the best Mexican food in Berkeley. Everything is fresh and obviously made with a lot of care and attention. Would highly recommend pretty much anything here but my personal favorite is the mole burrito. The baked goods are also perfectly made and the service is incredible!”

“I love visiting this little bakery. The beautiful colors of their macarons always put me in such a great mood. The bakery is conveniently located inside the food court in a small corner. The baked goods are delicious and affordable compare to other bakeries in the Bay area. They also have really interesting flavors for their macarons. My favorite was the Earl Gray tea macaron. I highly recommended this place.”

“Black Diamond Is an all around ok cafe. Nothing super special, nothing that really wowed me, but it definitely wasn't bad. The coffee is good, the ambiance is fine. If they wanted 5 stars out of me they would update their furniture to something more comfy and update their lighting. It's has a bit of a cafeteria vibe.”
