“Small, cozy breakfast/lunch place. Vally Medlyn's has been around for years in downtown Danville. Good size tasty portions at reasonable prices. Family and dog friendly. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Chicken & Waffle is more like a fancy deep fried chicken finger(s) than a couple of pieces of chicken sprinkled with powdered sugar, which actually made the freshly deep fried chicken fingers taste even better. Waffle is light and airy. Bacon is thick sliced. Vally Medlyn's has high chairs and booster chairs. In the Unisex restroom, there is a diaper changing table. Crayons and kids menu (gender specific coloring sheets)are provided to keep your kiddos to keep them entertained 9/22/17 Update: Had breakfast outside and dog watched for entertainment. Vally Medlyn's is dog-friendly. They have a jar of giant size dog biscuits by their entrance and a water bowl. Enjoyed eating the pancake special - 4 good sized super fluffy, light pancakes, scrambled eggs, and thick crispy apple-smoked bacon and the chunky Meat Lovers Omelet.”

“Restaurant remodel nice. Ordered beef broccoli, orange chicken and vegetable chow mien noodles. Hot tea, draft sierra Nevada beer. The food was fresh cooked, Orange chicken was very tender cut with fork easily. Sauce delish. All very good. Not heavily spiced works for me as I can't tolerate hot peppers or black pepper. Plenty of parking. They do lots of take out.”

There are regulars for different nights of the week - some travelers, some locals, who discern in Hana, the quality and the tradition of japanese sushi. “5 stars for their spinach lasagna. It’s not cheap, but it’s a large portion —- 3-4 servings—slathered in sauce, the way I love it. Order it early because they often run out. And garlic bread is a side I can always do without—- except their’s—- it has an unusual flavor I can’t nail down, but I find myself craving it. I like it without cheese (it’s so good it doesn’t need it) but many love it with cheese. The restaurant is truly a carry out location—- if you do eat there, pass on their wine, it’s definitely an afterthought and not on par with the food.”
