“Went out looking for a good Mexican place because I am not too thrilled with the one closest to where I live. I let Google make some suggestions based on location and the first place I tried was great. Super quaint and lovely decor, I was greeted by friendly staff and immediately shown to a table. Angelica came by with menus and info and gave me some suggestions as a first timer. I opted for the Empanada, and was lucky because Stacy who also was helping out told me I could go half and half with the red sauce/green sauce. The food is absolutely delicious and clearly authentic and homemade. The chips were fresh and the cabbage salsa is to die for! So I had the pork in the empanada and it was tender and moist, well seasoned and not too salty. Full of flavor and juicy goodness. I am happy to say the prices were fair and with a lovely pineapple cider and tip I was out the door for about $25. Stuffed. Highly recommend this local family-run gem.”

“This is one of the Best BBQ I have eaten at . Staff take your order correct. The Food is fantastic. I purchased the large TriTip Sandwich on Rare side because it will continue to cook if you leave it sit wrapped up. The house sauce is great . Portions are great. Taste is fabulous. It is a thin cut which makes it taste sooo good!!. I also got the Potato salad which is homemade not out of a container. So the flavor is great..and a Fountain drink. They offer other drinks also . They have a fantastic condiment bar. That is very Clean. And on Ice.. Really it's a one of a kind excellent eating BBQ.. Owner and the employees are very attentive. I tipped them and they deserve it. I eat a lot of different BBQ Of all the places I always come back to Porter Street. Try this sometime I get a trip tip and pastrami Sandwich. Now that's a great flavor. Love the Cobbler, Try the Burger it's fresh burger and very nice sized. The burger is underrated in Eureka. I would put it at the top.. Enjoy.”

“I had the orange chicken and my wife had the lemon shrimp with hot & sour soup. Soup had strong vinegar and white pepper taste, which isn’t bad. Had to add soy sauce to cut the taste; wife was not impressed. Lemon and orange sauce was ok. Shrimp is the typical breaded and deep fried kind. Orange chicken was ok. Nothing spectacular but it was edible.”

“Very cute place and nice staff. Unfortunately we had to wait a long long time for our table - at least 30 minutes past what they said. It would have helped if the outdoor fire pit was working but it wasn’t and we were freezing as we waited. If I was them I would have offered to get drinks while we waited, at least keeping us happy as we waited. Once we got in, the atmosphere and food was great. Our table ordered many things - Mac & cheese, polenta vegetarian lasagne, Rockfish, pizzas, braised veggies. Everyone seemed happy and satisfied. I’ve had better pizza and my observation was the fish was a bit skimpy, but we were happy for the evening. The desserts - bread pudding, strawberry ice cream and truffle were delicious.”

“Must-try: Piazza. Top rated Italian restaurant in Eureka. Overall great dining experience with very welcoming service in a lovely town. Started with Wild Mushroom Cobbler, we have Piazza and steak as the main dishes. They are both delicious and the Piazza taste especially amazing with simple components. For dessert my friend ordered ice cream. I tried black chocolate truffle with duck fat. It has a bit salt on it's top while the truffle itself is not rich of flavor of duck.”

“Update: The pizza, an All-Meat, was absolutely yummy. Great crazy bread too. Arrived here at 11:05 on a Friday. No one else was in the facility. I didn't mind waiting, as the only associate I could see was cutting pizza. He let me know he would be with me. 8 minutes later, DoorDash pickup arrived. He conducted that order. Still hadn't taken my order. I've been inside the building roughly 8-10 minutes, by the point. Someone else entered the building; smart enough to have made their order ahead of time. They got their pizza(s) = 3. At 13 minutes in the building, he finally took my order. Mind you, about 6 minutes in, he asked order (so he knew I wanted a all meat pizza), but it was never started. My order wasn't ready for another 20 minutes, however. I understand how food works and baking time. However, from the time I walked into the building (which I was the only person in), to the time I walked out: 43 minutes.”

“This place was recommended to me by a local, and although there's lots to pick from, the food didn't have very much of a taste. I imagined the roast beef would be hot, but it's a cold sandwich, the meat is dry, and chewy. The 🍠 potato chips are okay too, they were slightly burned. The quinoa pudding or whatever that was called was also tasteless, probably the best part of the order was the cookie 🍪. They do make their own sodas. Also, the young lady Ema at the front counter was so nice and welcoming. Their stroganoff was also not good, I went there specifically for that, but it had that same dry chewy meat, and it just didn't have a flavor. Including the 10.00 tip it was about 55.00 for everything pictured.”

My wife is particular about how her bacon is cooked (in my mind she likes it when it crumbles to dust) and they fixed it to perfection. Her pancakes seemed to weigh a pound each. My meat lovers omelet was superb but outdone by the country potatoes, the onion and peppers tasted like a dream. And the homemade biscuit was the best I've had outside of "The South." We were stuffed, but a local suggested we take a cinnamon roll back to our BnB for our morning coffee. We got the strawberry cream cheese version.”

“My neighbor and I were going out to dinner, she had recently eaten there and was craving the Cowboy hamburger. I definitely wanted to try but the only burger I could think of was fast food, where they throw an onion ring on and call it good. It was so totally surprised, wood fired pizzas, Catch of the day was salmon, and also wonderful sounding pasta special, but I was already drooling over the burger. I ordered it very rare because I knew that I would only have a few bites now and later I would want to reheat at home. It was exactly what I asked for. The fries were some of the best, crispy but not crunchy. I'm not really a sweet potato fries person but my friend had me try and they were so good. Sweet potato fries will be my go to side dish here, I'm probably going to stop in just for that. I can't wait to try some pizza. Burgers were around 16.00, we were just having sodas so the bill was something around 40.00, before tip.i was just at McDonald's and a lousy fish sandwich was 9.49, really, does anyone think that is right? I hear big business is jumping on the bandwagon to ride the inflation rate for as much and as long as they can get away with it McDonalds hurting the people that gave them all the money. If McDonald's can't absorb some negative cash flow, then they need new management. Sorry for the rant. I loved The Diver and can't wait to go back. And our server was so sweet and attentive to these two silly old ladies that she was definitely the icing on the cake. A good time was had by all.”
