“Counter service excellent. Greeted by cooks upon entry. Guided through menu selection. Turkish meatball sandwich and some other sandwich, both excellent. Served with side sauces, chili and taziki. Candy bar with sesame nougat. Fresh made pita bread with an eggplant garlic dipping sauce. Yum on all accounts! Going back to experiment with other menu adventures.”

“Very friendly service and a wide selection of vegetarian options. The staff even told me that I should order the green sauce instead of the red for my burrito mojado, because the red sauce has a meat stock. Prices are just right, too.”

“The place is lovely. A fountain greets, the glass is etched with scenes like swimming koi. The booths look warm and inviting with nice wood and red seats. Currently, they will make up boxes of anything you like in which you pay about $6/lb for unless it's mostly seafood, which you pay $8/lb for. You are welcome to take it home or eat in. I honestly hope they go back to a traditional buffet soon. I don't like telling someone else what I want and I feel I don't get to try everything they have to offer because I can't just see it and grab a tiny bit on a whim. They are still worth the visit. My family likes to load up our boxes really full for at least 2 meals of munching.”

“Been in town for work and after a couple attempts at Mexican restaurants I finally found a good one. The staff is super nice here and take real good care of everybody. I've made it a weekly visit while I'm here for work and highly recommended for anybody visiting Arcata.”

“When I've ordered breakfast, it reminds me of how my grandma used to cook. Tasty, yummy, filling comfort food. I've had lunch there a few times. The deli style cold sandwiches are good. They can get busy durning lunch time. If you order a hot lunch and your pressed for time, you may have to eat fast. They do make good pastry's, pies, desserts & sweets. The staff is friendly. Service is good but it seems like things would flow a lot smoother if they had 1 or 2 more employees during the breakfast & lunch rush. To sit down I've had to bus my own table a few times. I've had to wait longer than normal for someone to be available to take my order or for my food to arrive. The amount of food you get is fair but the prices are on the higher side. Over all, the place appears to be clean, food is usually good, the wait time can be a little long & cost of some dishes & items are a little pricey.”

“Loved it! The staff is very welcoming and friendly. The burger I had was delicious! It was a perfect little stop. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We ate inside because it was a little chilly outside. There are restrooms inside too. Great place to eat!!”

“I had Fettuccine Frutti De Mare pan-fried cod, prawns, shrimp, mushrooms, garlic, wine & butter sauce, ate most of the generous portions of seafood at the restaurant. I couldn't eat it all & it was even better the next day! I heated in a pan instead of killing it in the microwave, the fresh pasta is to die for! The service by the owners and their beautiful family was perfect. Not only does this family know how to cook they know how to make a great cocktail!”

“I have never before in my life experienced the absolute life changing experience that was the smash burger here. It is the best burger I have ever had, and now my dreams are haunted with the taste I can only get here. Please you must try this food, I can't be the only one to realize the absolute magnitude of how good this burger is. Get it with the garlic fries. Addition: I came back to make sure I was being accurate with my description. It still holds up as the best burger I've ever had, the pickles are made in house and sliced thin, the seasoning salt is made in house, even my kid that hates all food loves it here.”

“Been in several times and had pretty much the same experience each time. Delicious food and friendly servers. Food takes a bit of time so don't be in a hurry. The Chicken wraps are possibly the best deal in town, $7-8 and fully loaded with flavor. I usually get the caesar but got the pesto one with goat cheese (chevre) and veggies. Very fresh, packed and surprisingly, I was able to finish it, it was so good. Great selection of tap and other. I haven't tried the pizzas yet but here they are outstanding. Well done, keep it up.”

“Open at 7, so this is an early start place with great service and items. Bread, eggs, chorizo and pastries with an excellent bear claw with real marzipan served in brown paper trays, bags and napkins. Espresso and three hot pots of coffee self serve in paper cups. Cultural icons, smooth jazz and old brick walls make up the ambiance. Good options for most diets.”

“One of the best pizzas I've had in a while. The crust was crispy and thin. Good amount of tomato sauce. The cheese melted perfectly. Nice edge crust with some garlic butter I think. A great pizza. I got a little flustered over the difference between a medium pizza and a 12-inch pizza. I learned there is no universal "small," "medium," "large" with pizza. A medium could be whatever-inch the restaurant makes it. My social skills have declined in the last decade and more rapidly in the last few years. Dutchy's has a 12-inch and then a larger size (18-inch?). It's great pizza. The staff are friendly and helpful. I got a half cheese and half pepperoni.”

“This place never disappoints. Their burgers are bomb and their cocktails are strong. They have a variety of brews on tap for the beer connoisseurs. There is a jukebox and the music can be a little too much in the large space with bupkis for acoustics. I sit at the bar or the left hand side (facing the front door) of the place or outside on the fenced patio if the weather isn’t being dumb.”

“Came here for lunch and was moved enough to write a review. The decor is excellent down to the detail. It may be more up my alley, but I think several people would appreciate the ambiance of this restaurant. Please see pictures. Food was 4stars. Not bad, but nothing close to the feel of the restaurant. Give it a try!”

“I went to dinner at the Oberon restaurant in Eureka, CA. The restaurant is very beautiful, and I loved the decoration. Both my wife and I ordered New York steaks. They were great, very juiced and flavored. We topped our steaks with melted cheese. The restaurant does not have parking, so you need to find one in the street (this was not an issue, as there was plenty of empty spaces nearby). For desert we ordered a crème brûlée; it was very good. The only reason I do not give 5 starts is due the service, our waitress was great, but there was not enough staff, so we needed to wait a little bit to be seated and to get our orders. If you love steaks I highly recommend this place.”

“We ate here for the first time last night. We weren’t sure what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised by what we ordered. The sautéed veggies is NOT what you would think, it’s more of a stew that paired deliciously with rice and peas. I got it with the fried chicken and thought I’d be getting something “simple” but instead it was perfectly cooked , very moist and was uniquely seasoned. My husband got the curry chicken rice bowl and ate nearly the whole thing (he’s not a huge eater). We have had curry chicken many times before but the flavors of this one was different. Both plates were very flavorful, as well as their award winning grilled oysters that we had for appetizer. Meals were large portions that we took home to have for lunch today. And for non-alcoholic drinks- I had the hibiscus and my husband the guava. They were both very good, though I added more water to mine (I like my drinks not too sweet and watered down but that’s a personal preference). Both of our servers were very friendly and prompt, but one in particular who was very descriptive with other dishes on the menu-where the oysters and fish came from, how they’re cooked, portions (to share or individual). Sadly we did not catch her name but she is the reason we now want to keep coming back to try everything they have at least once. She even drew characters on our to-go box! We love to eat out and try different foods, but if you’re thinking of going somewhere for lunch or dinner and are wanting something hearty with lots of flavor, this is the place to visit. Oh, & don’t forget their plantains. You think you know what you’re getting until you take your first bite!”

“We had a good experience at the Bayfront. With the location being on the water front there is a great view. They have a large selection of sushi options, even vegetarian rolls and entree items such as seafood pastas and chicken teriyaki. Service was quick and very kind.”

“Good local spot that came up when I searched Google for “steak”. Good portion size, flavorful. Food was served quick by gracious staff. Local beers on the menu… another plus. Had the steak dinner with prawns/shrimp. All was cooked right for my pallet, nothing was overdone or dry. Too many places don’t understand what a “medium rare” steak is supposed to be.. they got it right here. Will be back.”

“Great food & fast, friendly service! I was really impressed with their non-meat meatball sub and jerk chicken tacos. One of the best local food trucks in the area. If you get the chance don't even hesitate because Sistah's Vegan has amazing food at just the right price✌️😌”

“Maybe the best vegan burger I’ve ever had. Rich flavor and perfectly cooked. The veggies and cheese toppings were also so good! I also had the potato wedges which were crispy and had a savory/sweet taste that was addictive. The whole meal was fantastic. Will be ordering again soon:)”

“Probably the best pupusas i have had! It is run by a mother son duo, and the quality of food they put out is phenomenal. The bean filling and chicharron are delicious! I will definitely come here again. It is a little difficult to get to since it is inside of a business park, but do not worry, it is worth it! They were kind to let us order 10 minutes before closing.”
