Bishop Lone pine

Bronco's Deli

Address: 177 Academy Ave, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“Great wrap! I was passing through town and stopped for lunch. Ordered the chipotle chicken wrap with fries and a soda for $10. I also got a bag of chips for later which was $3!!! The wrap was delicious, good sized and good price. Very friendly service, food came quick. Only complaints I have is the only drinks were can soda of Coca Cola and Sprite. Neither of which I care for, wish they had a better selection and $3 for a small bag of chips is a bit ridiculous. Also this place is cash only, which in 2022 with all the options available shouldn’t be a thing, but I will Definitely stop again on my next visit through town if I have cash on me!”

Yamatani Japanese Restaurant

Address: 635 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“The restaurant is conveniently located on Main Street with plenty of parking on the side and in the back. The host staff was friendly and the server was patient, efficient and very nice. We had many questions about the menu and he answered them and took his time with us. The prices were on the high side for what you get, but food was flavorful.”

Holy Smoke Texas Style BBQ

Address: 772 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“We stopped here on the way back from Mammoth instead of getting take out from McDonald's or something. Timing was perfect because it was just a few minutes before 11 when they opened (it was a Wednesday). I got the Spud Bud and, based on my choice of mac n cheese and potato salad, the server recommended the brisket. So, big baked potato stuffed with brisket and mac n cheese. To make eating this in the car easier, I opened it up in the restaurant and cut it up into easy chunks before we left, hence the photos. It smelled and looked amazing. And it was... SO GOOD!! Our group also got the cornbread, pulled pork sandwich, and the pigs in a blanket sausage sandwich with baked beans. Everyone loved their meals and we will definitely be back! Had tried other BBQ in the area that was super hyped up but enjoyed this a lot more. Definitely recommend! Bonus points for super clean bathroom, and for our to-go package being wonderfully packed up including plenty of napkins, extra sauce and the exact amount of cutlery needed (no more). Plus, I felt the prices were reasonable considering the portion sizes and effort involved. Thank you Holy Smoke! Edited post original review: Steve, Gentry says hi! :)”

Jack's Restaurant

Address: 437 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“Located on Main Street in the middle of Bishop. The service was FANTASTIC from our arrival to departure. Server and staff ensured we had our drinks refilled often and our food came out quickly. The food taste was average for a diner and the portion sizes were good. Favorites at our table included the chicken strips, french fries, and french toast.”

Mercado Mexico

“Delicious Mexican food! Small yet, lots inside and a patio only seating. Everything is to-go, but you can sit down there to enjoy. Great clean, the atmosphere is great, Awesome authentic Mexican food. I do recommend!”

El Ranchito

Address: 281 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped by this place before heading home. It looked really empty but the sign said open. We parked in back and walked through the door. It felt strange walking through the office area, storage and kitchen but the cooks waived us through to the tables. We started with some chips and salsa. The various salsas were amazing. Try the chipotle and the creamy green salsa. Yum! I was torn between the Huevos rancheros and the Chile Colorado omelette but I chose the rancheros with beans as my side. It was good but I’m still wondering how there chile Colorado was. Hubby got the chorizo and egg plate with half hashbrowns, half beans as his side. Also good. It was super cheap! $13 each! Great service, friendly staff, not busy. Try it if you are driving through Bishop.”

Amigos Mexican Restaurant

“Really good food, very friendly people. Big portion, so happy we got to take the rest of it home. 10+! Came here from Belgium and were not disappointed. Nice town as well.”

1903 Taphouse & Co.

Address: 175 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“If you’re looking to watch sports in Bishop this is the place to do it. They have several TV screens and a lot of boardgames like darts and shuffleboard. The bar was recently remodeled. It’s nice and clean. The beer selection it’s fairly good. Lots of basic here and a few local beers on tap. This is great for day drinking or a little bit of a wild night. They also have really good mixed drinks. The bar staff is knowledgeable and funny ! This is definitely worth a stab if you’re going to be in Bishop for a little while.”

The Rolling Chef 395

Address: 136 W Line St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“The Rolling Chef is THE BEST place to eat on the east side. Hands down. I almost never leave reviews for places, but I just had to make sure everyone knows. My go to is the Havana burrito with plantains instead of meat (for all the veg heads out there) with the green Aji Verde sauce. It’s one of the best things my taste buds have ever had. And the customer service is great. Everyone is so friendly.”

Whiskey Creek

Address: 524 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“My husband got a burger and I got the parmesan crusted chicken. I gave my husband the first bite of mine, and he said he immediately regretted ordering a burger. Not that the burger was bad by any means, but because the chicken was that good. For the kiddos, we ordered chicken strips and Alfredo. The Alfredo was pretty good, the strips were pretty basic. Nothing fancy about them at all. We had a scoop of ice cream at the end and it was delicious. We also ordered some local beers which were pretty good as well. I went in, not that hungry or in the mood for anything in particular, and left happily satisfied.”

Black Sheep Coffee Roasters

Address: 232 N Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Superb Cafe with great coffee, fresh baked goods, and unique breakfast options like the sweet potato and sausage burrito which was the perfect departure meal before hitting the trail for a week. The store is filled with awesome local art and the patio is cozy. Staff was rad, welcoming, and entire atmosphere on point.”

Pupfish Cafe

Address: 124 S Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Cafe Restaurant

“Hot off the trail I was looking for a morning to relax and read. Picked up a book in the attached store - Spellbinder - then got the breakfast waffle sandwich specialty and coffee. Stupidly delicious treat, nearly ordered 3 more. Super friendly staff offered free coffee refills of a cup that cost 2.50... that's unheard of in most places. I read in peace for hours and would do it all again, what a gem!”

Jack in the Box

Address: 575 S Main St, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“It's Jack in the Box so you know what you're getting into here. With that said the staff were quick with orders and the food was freshly prepared and hot. The Deluxe Fish Sandwich was good. Unfortunately, this dude came in only to wreck the restroom and fill the small inside space with the foul stench that came with it.”

Taqueria Las Palmas

Address: 136 E Line St B, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“Large portions. I mean huge portions. Great service. Small Town care for the people and place. If you're passing through give them a few minutes. They're a small but effective team. Ask them for their tequila recommendations. They know their agave.”

Thai Thai Restaurant

Address: 703 Airport Road Enter On Leftside Of Building next to "Baggage Claim, Bishop, CA 93514, USA

Restaurant

“Located at the Bishop Airport, it is a bit off the main highway, but worth the side trip. The staff was very friendly and attentive. They offer a variety of dishes, not only Thai. The portions are hearty and the dishes we tried were flavorful. The Drunken Noodles with chicken and the Drunken Noodles with beef were the favorite of the table. The fried rice was also very good with a serving large enough to share. The prices were a little on the high side, but it was worth it in portion size. There were five of us dining together and our meals came out staggered. The first two were halfway through their meal when the last two received theirs. It wasn't a huge problem for us, but others may be bothered by the staggered delivery for larger parties if this is the norm. We will definitely come again when traveling to Bishop.”

Glacier Lodge

Address: 100 Glacier Lodge Rd, Big Pine, CA 93513, USA

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Location location location. We usually tent camp in the Sierras, so having an efficiency cabin up so high, near the creek, with food we could order, and a super helpful staff was a TREAT. Not fancy, and they don't pretend to be, but definitely a nice place. Unplug and unwind at 8800 feet. Then go hike a mountain and jump in a lake! Return in time for a plate of pulled pork Cowboy Tacos!”

Meal takeaway Restaurant

“Probably one of the best pizza I’ve ever had. We stopped here on our way to San Francisco for a quick lunch/dinner. Excellent service, warm welcoming, polite staff. The quality of the food is great , fresh and tasty. Worth the wait (around 40-45 minutes for 2 pizzas) and the money. You can sit inside or there are picnic tables outside at the back to enjoy your food. Also restrooms are super clean. Highly recommend it.”

Copper Top BBQ

Address: 442 N Main St, Big Pine, CA 93513, USA

Restaurant

“Found this little treasures years ago when it was just a food truck like place. Outstanding BBQ then and continues to produce great food. Staff is friendly and helpful. Quick service. Plenty of meat to choose from. Ribs, Brisket, and tri tip are my favorites. This stop I had the Tri tip meat plate with a side of green chili. Meat was smoked to perfection. I did dip an occasional piece in the sauce. Green Chilli was flavorful with a little heat. They used to have a vending machine that you could buy smoked meat from (they said it should bee here soon again). Definitely worth the stop when on Highway 395.”

Port of Subs

Address: 130 S Edwards St, Independence, CA 93526, USA

Restaurant

“Stopped here for lunch and I was very disappointed. Ordered 1 roast beef sandwich and a veggie sandwich. (Which comes with avocado.) I told the man to put my avocado on the rb as I don't like avocado. He said he can't do that. Why?? I had to pay extra for it. All the while the man kept touching his earring and face. I was grossed out and I will not be back.”

Still Life Cafe

Bonanza Mexican Restaurant

Address: 104 N Main St Suite B, Lone Pine, CA 93545, USA

Restaurant

“Went here for pre-Whitney meal and regretted the next day. Not a good idea to have beans/rice before and have the gas expand inside you & try to escape on high elevation. Other than that, food was good, veg and non veg. Wet burrito was pretty good. Service a bit slow, good ambience, prices a little high for the location. Parking on street.”
