“Passed this taco truck on the way to the hot spring. While soaking we were trying to decide what to eat, we remembered about this close taco truck. I’m glad we stopped here. The prices are very fair and the food is great. The chef seems so hard working and he’s a hard working guy. I was talking to them for a bit while waiting for the food about traveling and whatnot. There’s no tables to sit on, but I sat on the stones in front of the gas prices sign. They’ll give you napkins and forks if needed. It was a great stop before we headed to the airport. We’ll come back next time we hit up the hot springs.”

“We went to try the newer restaurant, Asia Village in Lakeport. The restaurant is really clean and the owner, Simon, greeted us and waited on us. He has been running restaurants for 40 years in the bay area. We ordered vegetarian spring rolls, the salmon bento, shrimp chow mein and beef chowmein. The bento comes with so much food, soup, salad plus gyoza, tempura shrimp, rice, seaweed salad, and the salmon. Simon was kind enough bring everyone at the table some soup as a starter. I asked if there was a vegetarian soup option, and he easily accommodated. I also asked if he planed to have more vegetarian options and he said they can easily accomodate dietary restrictions right now, just ask. He also plans to expand the menu, but is just working through some food sourcing. All of it was delicious and we will definitely go back. We learned that Simon is still working out staffing issues, because he could not bring some of his staff from the Bay Area up here. We also learned that he will be starting up sushi here soon and he plans to have dim sum and hot pot in the fall. Asia Village offers take out if you don't have time for a sit down. I will also say that they do have beef, chicken and shrimp chow mein as a regular option on the menu. There is also a summer menu with some sandwiches (picture below). I took a picture of my bento box (one of gyoza was already snagged and normally there are 3) and my mom's shrimp chow mien (half eaten because I forgot to snap a picture before everyone dug in). I hope everyone comes out to support this great new restaurant so that we can keep it around.”

“Oh wow this is good! I got the Tipper (tri-tip, grilled sweet roll, bbq sauce) with the coleslaw and a plate of The Way Garlic Fries. Oh my. My wife got the next door recommended Biggin Mac with their version of (Mac-n-Cheese, double cheddar, and bbq sauce) and a coleslaw. We both have fallen for the coleslaw. And the burgers. “We stopped in to the new Starbucks. The line for the drive thru was a bit long. We get inside and the place is bright ,clean and smells of coffee in the air. We both ordered the caramel Frappe with a shot of Expresso. The wait was minimal. Everything was great. Until we went to sit down. The tables were clean, so we sat at a small table. We started to chat a little but the music was so loud, we asked if they could turn it down just a little. I didn't like the feeling I was in a night club at 10 am. It was turned down , so we could at least hear each other. Someone went and cranked it up again. It was hard to have our coffee and chat. That's why 3 stars. I still recommend this place but maybe to go.”

“So I've been past las cazuelas quite a few times. It seems like they are always busy but this time not so much so I pulled in off the highway to get some lunch. I will say the food quality is good. The burrito that I had was very large and very tasty. The homemade avocado salsa and red salsa was very good. I also got the tacos adobada which you don't always see around here and they were very tasty as well. I give them. Kudos for using the small flower tortillas rather than the typical corn Tortillas I see around here. The marinated pork for the tacos had good flavor in spice but not overwhelming... Now since this is a taco truck. I would consider it fast food but the quality is much better. The service was good and for being outside they did provide places to set and wait... My only real complaints is prices for 2 tacos an a burrito. It was like $24.00 I don't usually mind paying a little more for good quality food but it did seem like much. I do recommend them and I would say compared to other Mexican food trucks in Lake county they are on the top tier.”

“Ordered a standard, old fashioned cheeseburger. Perfectly grilled as requested and all additional veggie toppings were fresh and crisp. There seemed to be something extra in the beef giving it a little spicy kick though there were no additional beef ingredients specified in the menu listing. Another patron noticed it (verifying I didn't imagine it) and asked what was added to the beef to give it the kick. Server appeared to have no knowledge of spices in the beef. French fries were some of the best I've had in a long time and perfectly prepared. Meal arrived hot and fresh. Server knowledgeable and attentive. Overall, the best burger I've had in Lake County in a long time. Menu pricing was appropriate. Dining area very clean and tastefully decorated. Exterior fresh, new, well kept. I hope they do well. They and their owner are a great addition to the community!”

“What a gem! We were staying near by for a few days and stumbled across this place on the last day unfortunately. They were a little busy and only had two employees, but they did not disappoint. They were friendly and warned that they had gotten slammed. Our server/bartender mentioned their Brussel sprout appetizer and it was delicious. Went down perfectly with my glass of Zinfandel. The place had a greet view as it sits up on the second story. They have a decent bar and a pool table. We dined with our 4 year old daughter and they provided coloring books and colors. She seemed to enjoy her meal as well. We’d definitely stop by, if we are in the area again.”
