Ortiz offers fresh, tasty Mexican and American food and delicious breakfast-all-day options for cheap, plus they're the best taco truck on the east side of Culver.

The barbacoa, short rib, and new al pastor tacos are outstanding. The al pastor is succulent and well spiced, served with onions and a thin slice of pineapple. They're practically giving the short rib + grilled onion taco away, with generous portions. They do a chorizo that's stacked as well.

I'm also stoked this place opened where it did because it's so close to me -- Culver Junction/Helms/Reynier Village/CC Arts District area needed this!

With its proximity to the train station and hundreds of new apartments going in nearby, I hope Ortiz sticks around to reap the benefits. For now, it's criminally underrated IRL -- but with quality and prices like this, that can't remain for long.
