“This is a cool spot to visit when it's not so crowded. I've been here a few times during day time/night time both weekdays and weekends. I prefer when I have some space to move (usually best on weekdays or anytime before 11pm). “Cool little restaurant / bar. They have tables and a bar inside, and a good sized outdoor patio adjacent to the pier plaza. They have a small menu, but they apparently do it very well. We ordered the House Burgers. They are served on an English muffin. We were skeptical at first, but it was actually one of the better burgers I’ve had recently. The fries were very good too. The service is fine. Prices are a little high, but on a par with other menus on the plaza. They have a couple of TVs above the bar.”

“I had just landed from a afternoon flight from Chicago to visit my buddy who relocated to Hermosa Beach in the last year. We just wanted a Happy Hour on the beach with The CUBS on TV and Silvio's delivered. We were able to bring our 3rd Wheel 4 legged friend and he was more than welcome and provided water. The Happy Hour prices were great and the wait staff was more than attentive. We had a great view of the beach and the Cubs game and the volume level on the patio was perfect for getting caught up and raising a few beers. The reputation for a great place for Chicago Fans looks to be more than justifiable.”

“Had a wonderful lunch there today, Chef Billy Lansing’s Green Curry was fabulous!!! Jasmine rice fluffy and cooked to perfection. The Vegetables were aldente, Crisp, fresh and plentiful. The curry was creamy and bright with just the perfect amount of heat. Music selection and decor create a fantastic upscale environment that gives dinners a high end fresh seafood and farm to table cuisine while still feeling like you’re in a casual beach environment..Well Done.”

“Wonderful food. My son took me there and was raving about the hamburgers being 50% bacon. I had one made into a lettuce wrap and had the egg scrambled. It was freaking glorious and maybe even better was a perfect dirty martini. My son had the bacon wrapped hot dog he was pretty happy with. I don't remember what kind of beer he ordered that they had just what he want it also. He was disappointed he didn't notice the special that when they have a game playing the pints of beer are at happy hour prices. Next time he knows. We will be back”

“SEAFOOD NIRVANA ! A group of us enjoyed a splendid dinner at this classy restaurant last Wednesday. It was great to meet up with Chef Melba soon after we walked in around 6pm. The head server Shanna showed us to a prime table in the corner to the side of the entrance. Most of us opted for glasses of water but I chose a very nice local IPA on Shanna's recommendation. Some lovely warm grilled bread came out soon after. We kicked things off with a serve of Char Grilled Spicy Octopus which tasted fresh & tantalizing as can be. As our server Shanna reminded us all their seafood is always fresh never frozen. A delicious Persian Salad disappeared in a few seconds. For entrees my wife ordered Tortellini & Lobster Medallions, my sister-in-law selected the Pure Reserve New Zealand Prime Filet Mignon. My brother-in-law and I liked the appeal of the Seafood Asopado. Our meals arrived in suitable time and were magnificently plated. My wife loved her lobster dish, my sister-in-law thought her filet mignon tasted perfect medium rare and I agreed after sampling a piece. My brother-in-law and I simply devoured our seafood combo dishes. I am certain one of my shrimp was over 6 inches long. I had another local beer to keep things flowing. A few minutes after finishing our meals most of us shared an incredible looking dessert called Chef Melba's Signature Dark Chocolate Bag. Think of a dark chocolate box filled with passionfruit mousse, kiwi fruit, mixed berries & raspberry drizzle. My God did it taste heavenly ! So we all had a perfect evening enjoying some of the finest food you'll find anywhere on the planet. We thanked our talented server Shanna and had a lovely chat with Chef Melba before we left. If you want the best fine food experience and exceptional service put Chef Melba's Bistro on your list !”

Having a view of the beach and nice covered seating makes this Mexican restaurant top choice for food lovers in the area.
