“This is a great location with good food. We went with a party of four. Three of them had food that was way to salty, I had risotto that was under salted. Would definitely go back to give it another try. We went after 8 PM so parking wasn't an issue, but I could see where it might be at other times. I only saw metered street parking.”

“The location is absolutely amazing! Sit on the second floor and have direct view on the pier, volleyball courts, and the beach. Service is a little slow but very friendly. We were also happy with the lunch food. The only problem was I called ahead to ask about a wait for breakfast at 11, was told there wouldn't be one and there wasn't but when we arrived (at 1045) we were told they weren't serving breakfast anymore. Would have really appreciated that information when I called.”

“Good, affordable food, right on the beach. Very cozy vibe. I like the booths. If you’re looking for an affordable family friendly option with good servers this is an excellent choice. The only reason for 4 stars, rather than 5 is the decor (inside and outside) seems to be from 1982. Throw a fresh coat of paint on this place and it would be awesome. That being said, I love the Blackened Chicken Sandwich (or the Surfin Bird sandwich), it is delicious. They also serve breakfast all day and have daily specials, including an all you can eat spaghetti day. Definitely a worthwhile restaurant choice, not fancy, but friendly, affordable, and tasty.”

“A little pricey, but high quality and the portions are perfect. Forget biting into a burrito and getting a mouthful of rice! Instead of one massive burrito the size of your face with poorly distributed ingredients, you get two about size of your hand (or palm for some of you) and you get good distribution of high quality ingredients. I wish this were more standard for American burritos.”

“Family run and operated. Cozy little spot near Hermosa Beach Pier. Yes, we all know the place is small. I don't recommend it for large parties. Order to go and have a seat on the beach, it's right there. You can't beat the view. Despite the size of the place, The real magic happens in the kitchen. The art of great authentic Mexican food isn't something you just smother with cheese and salsa. It comes down to the ingredients used day in and day out. Been coming here for years and it's hard for me to decide what is my favorite meal. The main man and the master chef always has surprises up his sleeve; the best meals aren't on the menu ;) They're extremely popular for their breakfast burritos here. Well portioned and able to create it to your liking. You can't beat the price for the amount of food you are receiving. One of my personal favorites is the bacon cheeseburger. Yes, I said the bacon cheeseburger. Get it how the chef prepares it. Overall great quality of food. The best Mexican Food in the south bay, hands down.”

“Barnacles is a great bar. The staff is very nice and they make a strong drink. Every time we have been, the bartender has taken care of us, even though we were sitting at one of the tables far away from the bar she was periodically checking in on us and keeping the drinks flowing. Amazing service. Every time I'm in Hermosa Beach I make a trip here for a drink. It's off the main drag so the crowd feels more like locals and regulars than the tourist vibe I get on the pier.”

“The food was pretty good, but the service wasn’t great. It took about 15 minutes to get our order in, and we weren’t checked in on regularly, even though the restaurant was mostly empty. We ordered a White Tiger roll that was made incomplete when it arrived. It was missing two ingredients and so we asked to have it remade. I’ve never been to a sushi restaurant where an order was made incorrectly. Very disappointing.”

“I stopped getting coffee here months ago. Please understand Mickey D's coffe is my favorite, even over coffee shop coffees BUT at this location it is a gamble. Most days the coffee is TERRIBLE!! I think they are more worried about getting people out, than giving people a great product. In my opinion, they pull the coffee pot to fill customer's cups to get then out. BUT this is WRONG!! Because when you pull the pot early that cup you pour is pure mud, then the rest of the pot pours out and the rest of the coffee is going to be "watery". Sometimes you do get a great cup of coffee. Well, today I ordered the 2 sausage egg McMuffins. The English muffins were toasty warm, yaaay!! But the egg was cold. . . How!!?? I have a theory as to how. But let's just chalk it up to get the customer out quick. This is how you lose customers.”

“This place is great the guys in here are really helpful and look like they follow these eating principals, I like their meals and the calorie counts on them, only things that could be improved are make an organic version, put the macros on the containers as well, and make them fresh to order like other places do. This means less waste for you but maybe it’s not cost effective, dunno. Make sure to add your own EFAS as it’s very low fat, 80s bodybuilding type food, especially for women if you are eating it long term. Your hormones will reduce without the right fats when weight training as well.”

“Great food and festive atmosphere. We came into get food to go and they had live music and every one was enjoying the sounds. The food is nothing short of what you love about Peruvian cuisine, spices, flavor and tender meats. With many options for meat, seafood and veggie it’s a great lunch or dinner spot in the area. Having only two meals here I know I will enjoy many more when I go back. Definitely visit on the weekend nights for the festive music!”

“There was free coffee while we waited for a table. And while it did take 25 minutes it was a much warranted wait due to all the goodness within the diner. Beginning with a almond streusel coffee cake, lathered in butter staved off any hunger annoyances brought about by the coffee laden wait. I am a firm believer that a good breakfast includes bacon, and so a great breakfast would have bacon in the waffle. Yes, my delicious, savoury, not too sweet, Belgian pastry was packed with crispy fried pork bits. A hot pitcher of maple syrup and butter elevated the flavors ever so much. Aside from my romance with the food, the staff was excellent the food arrived in a timely manner, the decor was a time capsule to an era long past and the general energy in the air was uplifting. Eat at this restaurant. You will find yourself there again and again.”
