“I love me some RALPHS, and I love me some RALPHS fuel. By combining my Ralph’s rewards with a trip to RALPHS fuel, i end up saving about $1.50 a gallon, which is significant when I’m filling up my 22 gallon Cayenne. And the attendants there are always helpful!”

“We have passed this donut shop for well over 20 plus years....out and about. Boston I decided to drop in and give it a shot coffee is better than Starbucks and their Maple covered donut outstanding. Young lady behind the counter extremely joyful.”

“Currently typing this review while in a food coma from eating here! This restaurant is amazing! The food is delicious, the staff is outstanding, and the presentation is great. Also, the place is very clean. Make sure you order a papusa with your meal because it was the best I’ve had. Same with their Salvadoran Horchata. I definitely plan on coming back to this place…very soon.”

“This is a great little gem of this local little area in East Pasadena. One of my personal best experiences of a lobster cuisine provider in the eastern LA area. This place can easily compete with a much higher end lobster specialty restaurant; It offers great tastes on its lobster roll, fries and salad while being a low key, easy access choice without the hurdles of going into a high-end establishment of a lobster joint to be able to eat the same exact thing with similar quality but paying twice as much as what you would get here. The staff here cares about your needs and checks up on you though out your time spent here. Overall very positive and satisfying experience. Will be back.”

“This is my second time visiting the Pasadena Food Mart, their sandwiches are really hitting the mark with delicious meat and crispy crusts. It's always satisfying to find a place that serves up food that exceeds expectations.”

“Stopped in after a hike for tacos but leaned towards Birria Fries and an Esquite Cup, both were very good. the birria fries were prefect to grab and go and made a perfect meal. The Esquite was excellent and had flavor in every bite, the grilled corn and lime was a nice touch. Of course, Every order needs a Jamaica and this hit the spot. My only critique is the consomé was a bit too salty but everyone has a preference in consomé so I’ll leave it up for everyone else (I STILL FINISHED MINE THO) loved everything I’ll be back here often and will recommend this place to everyone on the trails. Great atmosphere and good music taste from the staff! 10/10”

“Yakiya at Pasadena continues to deliver an unparalleled dining experience, echoing the excellence of its sister location. With a pre-fixe menu that promises culinary delight for every palate, this restaurant remains a go-to destination for special occasions. While the quality of the food remains impeccable, it's worth noting that the prices have seen a slight increase. Nevertheless, considering the exceptional dining experience offered, it's a worthwhile investment for those seeking to celebrate in style. During my visit, each dish surpassed expectations, showcasing a harmonious blend of flavors and textures. The wagyu with egg dish stood out as a personal favorite, elevating the dining experience to new heights. And let's not forget about dessert – the white chocolate with matcha filling was nothing short of sublime. Its delicate balance of sweetness and earthy notes provided the perfect conclusion to a fine dining extravaganza. However, one aspect of the dining experience that could be improved is the atmosphere. The restaurant's lively ambiance, while adding to the energy of the space, also contributed to a significant noise level. This made conversation with fellow diners challenging at times, particularly for those seated across from each other.”

“The price for the all you can eat menu was a great value. The sushi tasted fresh and was presented nicely with garnishes. The waiter was helpful and we were served quickly. The restaurant was new and cleanly decorated. My wife was also pleasantly surprised that they had gluten-free soy sauce available when asked. We ordered several servings of sushi, carpaccio. We also got some kid friendly options like tempura, beef teriyaki, karaage chicken, and udon. Everyone was happy!”

“I made reservations here to celebrate my dad’s birthday for a party of 9 and we had so much fun trying multiple different dishes. The service was great! Super friendly and brought out my Thai Tea quickly. This spot is fairly new and opened appropriately 9 months ago. They have a dim sum menu as well as a separate menu with their Chinese food dishes! I really enjoyed the fact that they had different options as it opened it up for everyone to try something different. Their wor won ton soup was one of my favorites and I got the shrimp low mein, which has delicious noodles. I will definitely be back when I am in the area!”

“This was a bit confusing to get to until I realized it was the same address as Veggie Grill. There was a small sign at the window that said we had to order online and pick up inside. My friend and I half given up on the new food thought we'd double check inside. Kinda weird to create a new "restaurant" for mexican inspired items that could have just had a section in the existing menu. I thought it was kinda funny that the menu referred to Mas Veggies as Veggie Grill's spicy little sister. I got the asada burrito. I asked the cashier what the asada "meat" was made of and he said soy. We chose the diablo sauce which was probably one of the spiciest things I'd ever tasted. One dip was enough. I thought the texture and flavor of the "meat" was more like lengua (tongue) which I enjoyed. I asked my friend if he ever tried lengua to which he replied " times are hard but not that hard" so I didn't tell him it reminded me of lengua. He thought it was alright. I'd try this menu again.”

“Super delicious and nice prices! I ordered a mini poke a bit worried it would be too small, but the bowl was so big I actually had leftovers! Everything was so delicious and fresh, and they were NOT skimpy with the toppings. It barely closed! I ordered almost every topping they offered and everything was amazing. Next time I’ll try a boba too!”

“Parking is behind the restaurant. Recommend the Mercado to start things off. The portion size was about right, although I've had a similar cheese bread at another restaurant, but it wasn't an $8 for 6; most dinner experiences allow any bread without an added price. I digress. The dishes weren't something to differentiate from any other establishment. My ribeye was medium rare, when expecting just medium, plus a bit unevenly grilled; the mashed potatoes or the vegetables didn't stand out on their own nor were they a supporting cast. The desserts didn't leave me wanting more. For the price, I would have expected something I'd daydream about next week. And I've had a meal to compare the experience to while in Doha, Qatar which infused smoke in the dishes and drinks, which I*do* daydream about. Which was as pricey as this, but had flavors, an experience and left a spot on my 'places to visit' list when I go back. The atmosphere was great. I liked the decor. The bartender was awesome. When the restaurant got busier, the service suffered. Dishes and drinks refills took longer before they arrived and we nearly thought that dessert was forgotten. With all things in life, there's always room to improve. I don't think I'd be back any time soon.”

“Cool little place, food was fast and accurate! The sushi was okay, but only had two of the rolls so might have just ordered the wrong item. The Cauli fries were fantastic, cauliflower was extremely crispy, in a great way, but not over cooked in the middle. Still had bite to it. Overall a great stop for some great vegan food in Pasadena. Many more vegan options as well! Hope you all enjoy as well”

“We have sampled Chef Chris Keyser’s pizzas before but takeout is not as good as when you eat the pizza out of the oven. The pizza crust is crispy outside and chewy inside. I wonder if this is a result of 2 days dough fermentation My family liked the vodka pepperoni pizza but A-A- Run pizza is my favorite. The green goddess chop salad needed more acid to temper the dressing. The street corn is unique with its chili agrodulce. The meatballs are so, so tender and plays well with the burrata. The risotto rice pudding with cherries and pistachio is a good dessert to finish the meal.”

“The food was excellent, the service was impeccable, the ambiance was warm and cozy, and the wife and husband team running the show, (he is the chef), were very charming! We had tapas and sangria. Everything was absolutely delicious, authentic and fun. Parking is easy across the street in the Union Street garage.”

“Beautiful and fun idea. They have such a beautiful restaurant. It took a while at the beginning before we got served and yet the food came out quickly. The only gluten free options they had were the salads. The hot and cold teas were very good. Would love to see them make some desserts, pastries or bread with gluten free options to be more inclusive. The chef salad I had was pretty good although I would’ve loved to try the other options and get the tea party tray.”

“The staff was extremely friendly, and the food was great. Something I was surprised by was the pacing of the dishes. Each one came out fresh and hot just as my party had finished the last, so we weren't rushed, but never kept waiting - excellent touch. The place was surprisingly empty during peak lunch hours, but maybe that's because people order delivery from this place instead? My party sat outside, but we went inside to check-in for our reservation, and it had a good atmosphere. I will return again in the future.”

“This is one of our favorite spots in Pasadena. It's definitely a hidden gem. The food is great--hummus, pitas, kebobs, rice, veggies, etc--and the service is always outstanding. We love the ambience with an indoor/outdoor patio, lights, and plants all around. And the prices are excellent as well since most dishes feed two or more.”

“Great brunch place but they're definitely under staffed. We usually take them to-go to avoid the crowd but the food taste so much better when dining in. Their short ribs benedict is amazingly great. I also enjoyed their fish and chips. The California omelette was so-so but I do like their serving of baked small potatoes than fried hash in other places. Healthier option for sure.”

“Ming's Tasty Chinese Food is in a class of its own. Standing among the myriad of options of "Chinese" food that ends up being delicious, but not truly authentic Chinese food, this restaurant brings some of that previously unapproachable authentic Chinese food to non-Chinese speakers. The food is delicious, the service was excellent, and they make all the food fresh every day. It will become a regular place for many in the area looking for great food, generous portions and reasonable prices, including me.”

“I wish I could give this place six stars!! Food is amazing. We literally forgot to take some photos of the pastries because they were eaten too quickly! I see some comments about staff; our experience with the staff was amazing. They were helpful, kind, and patience. They engaged in genuine, heart felt conversations, and were sweet overall. They had great COVID safety protocol. The amazing baked goods could be seen through the window on the street front. Outside distanced line to a safe order window. We grabbed a plum pastry, strawberry pastry, almond croissant, pistachio muffin, and a couple others…it was about $35. There is a parking lot behind the location. It can be a tough to spot the entrance on the street; it is at the north east corner of the building.”
