“Unusually quiet for a night in such a packed plaza. We were one of the three parties there, and there was only one waiter. The good was what I'd expect from Thai restaurants. I got the Thai Boat Noodle, and it tasted surprisingly very similar to the ones I've had in Berkeley. I was disappointed that they didn't have my favorite Garlic meat rice plate that I always got in Thailand, but the noodles were still good.”

“Meat was cold on my soup and soup base was too salty. I am planning to come back to taste sulrungtang and update my review.”

“I have only tried their specialty, braised short ribs, here and it never disappoints. First ate at Sun Nong Dan in LA and I would say this location in Rowland Heights matches the quality. I would highly recommend groups to share the large order of short ribs. After everyone is finished, order some rice to mix it in with the sauce at the end. The only downside is expect a bit of a wait after you order but I can guarantee you it's worth your patience.”

“Definitely recommend this place! They just did a grand opening and the place looks very fresh, clean and innovating. Food was piping hot and delicious and is a good bang for your dollar! The fried ice cream at the end was an interesting flavor too.”

“Nice clean place. Food isn't half bad. Their dishes like bun Bo are missing ingredients though. And there's a service charge. So $9 bowl + $1 tax +$1 service charge + tax if you're even feeling generous still at that point.”

“Great food, but their service could use a little work. We arrived with our child and they were pretty busy for lunch. But there were only two busted highchairs in the restaurant, and both were used at one table. It may sound petty, but most parents of toddlers can school you on how hard it is to keep a toddler sitting at a restaurant.”

“Generally pass on seafood, but this was pretty good. The sauce they dip the shrimp or crab legs in is delicious. They put a plastic bib on you which is corny. Overall great experience. Eat with your hands people! That's why they put a paper table cover as you sit down.”

“Super authentic Hunanese cuisine at a very affordable price point. I have tried over ten dishes on its menu over a few visits, and I enjoyed every single one of them. Aside from the spiciness, there is a great variety of subtle flavors anyone from outside Hunan could appreciate as well. The service can be slow sometimes as they have a small waiting staff, but they are as attentive and friendly as they can be. Remember to bring cash though!”

“Popcorn chicken had a thin layer compared to other popcorn chicken that has a thicker crunchy layer. It was very well seasoned at medium spice level. I could taste the basil when I first bit into the chicken. The mango mochi shaved ice was really good. The method it was shaved was the traditional Chinese method where ice is shaved into layers with flavors fused inside. Mango flavor inside the ice was good, but light for my taste. The condensed milk was a good touch and went along well with the ice. One thing I did not like about it was the mangoes themselves. They do not taste fresh, and I think the store caramelizes them or something to make it sweet instead of risking the taste of sour but fresh mangoes.”

“This is the best place for soups. If you order a small soup it is actually quite big. The dumplings and everything else is fresh and hot. I will come back again if I can because this is the best food I have ever tasted in my life. This deserves 5 stars.”

“This place serve Chinese food. One of the better one in Rowland Heights. The lunch special is very reasonable about $8 per plate. Probably about 40 items on the lunch special menu. W ordered house special fish filet, fry crispy tofu, hot and sour fry whole fish, green been, and kung Pao chicken. The food is very good. Highly recommended.”

“Dim sum is good, with great value lunch set meals which includes rice and soup. Some service staff only speak Mandarin and lack basic service courtesy. For a good time, just keep service expectations low and focus on the food! Dinner only promotion for lobsters, currently.”

“This is a good restaurant to dine out in. It's located in a rather peculiar place located across the street from the Puente Hills Mall. They have a yummy Thanksgiving turkey dinner served all year round. Don't forget the pies! They still have a variety of pies from which you can choose from. My favorite is their custard pie. In a hurry? No problem, order it to go.”
