“My husband, 2 children and I loved our stay. All of the staff was nice, although may still need some customer service training. Our server and dinner at the roadhouse was excellent, and we were pleasantly surprised with the quality and quantity of the food, plus very affordable and accommodating. Our room was absolutely gorgeous along with the rest of the hotel. We loved the creaky floor, seriously. This dated hotel is the perfect little place if you like historical places. It may or may not be haunted, just ask the pictures in the hallway. Cannot recommend Hotel Niles enough.”

“This was my first time going to Antonio's and it was excellent, I would definitely go again. I was staying in town and someone recommended them, so I decided to order a pizza, asking the employee what types they had and what they recommended. On their recommendation, I ended up going for a chicken bacon pizza with a creamy sauce. The pizza was great; the crust was almost a bit sweet, and the ingredients were all fresh and delicious. The restaurant itself seemed nice, nothing fancy but a small quant dining area, although I only saw it briefly when picking up my order.”

“Nice spot for Thai in Alturas, California. I ordered to go and the food was prepared in about 10 minutes. Waitress was attentive and thorough. Excellent flavor on all the sauces. Packaged so that juices didn't run out on my car seat. I'll be back as I travel for work, and will be in the area for a few weeks. A nice surprise! I would say closer to 4.5 stars as it was just a bit pricey but hey... I'm in NorCal and I always round up. Can't wait to try other things on the menu.”

We were traveling from Arkansas to Oregon on a load (trucker). Wow it was great! We’d nearly drive from Arkansas back to here just for another dining experience here. It was that good. On cooler nights enjoy the warmth from the corner wood stove fireplace. Look at the pictures on the wall from past rodeos or events or put your dollar up on the ceiling. The bar-side of the establishment is small enough that if a smidge tipsy.... you can just walk the couple paces to tip-into your vehicle and drive soberly home. Bar staff is great with engaging banter. Bathroom is clean and roomy... just watch the slope in the floor. Get here to experience the slow before the Burning Man crowd overtakes the establishment”

“01/20 Most phenomenal experience. Drove 30 miles to get the best waitress, best food and best bourbon pecan pie ever. 02/25 Going To Capt. Jack's Stronghold Restaurant is a wonderful experience. Everything is locally sourced, for example they will get the potato's from the potato farm and it makes the best fries, the food is wonderfully cooked and the atmosphere is homey and fun.”
