“We've been going to Blue Coyote for years. There are plenty of TVs tuned to various sporting events; something for everyone. The other day, I think one display was actually tuned to a movie. For someone who doesn't follow sports, that was nice to see. The wooden benches are roomy and allow for big groups to gather. We always sit there instead of the high tables with equally high chairs. Those are just too...high. I feel like I would be on display. Good for people watching, I suppose. The bar seems adequately stocked. The food is average to good (burgers are tasty) and the service is always friendly. A neighborhood institution. (Can get noisy when it is packed and is moderately priced - split the burger to save money.)”

“Excellent place... We had the Cajun BBQ Shrimp appetizer, and the brisket sandwich, with fries. The shrimp dish was a bit sweeter than we're used to for that dish, but was still very good. The brisket sandwich was great, super tender and well smoked, and was not smothered with too much sauce the way some places do. The fries were excellent... Crisp on the outside, tender inside, well seasoned. Service was attentive and prompt. Really enjoyed this place!”

“Kitchen was really slow when we visited. Service was rushed. Servers were working hard though. (Management response below.) I suggested that they add more local craft brews on tap. / I appreciated the quick response from the management and am raising the rating by a star. It would however be nice to be told of the slow kitchen ahead of time especially with children in tow. I don't mind waiting but it's difficult to distract a 3 year old for long periods of time. “This is our favorite place for cocktails in Truckee. The cocktail menu changes seasonally and they have very unique and interesting drinks here. They have a huge whisky selection and have turned me on to a bunch of brands I hadn't tried before. The bartenders are the best and the food is great too. We like to sit at the bar to eat so we can talk to the bartenders and also watch what they make.”

“Absolutely love this place! Coffeebar has amazing coffee drinks, delicious food, and a super friendly staff that works quickly to get you exactly what you need! I love the lavender lattes here (make sure you ask for a shot or two of espresso as this is a tea drink) and usually whatever their seasonal coffee drinks are. They have great healthy food options as well and cater to those who are gluten free, dairy free, or vegetarian. The atmosphere at Coffeebar is trendy and cozy, perfect for a mountain town. You will not be sad you stopped here!”
