“It is so nice to have Rye Goods in Laguna Beach. I used to go to Newport location to pick bread. They have one of the best bread in Orange County. Their country sourdough bread is divine. They bake their bread and pastries fresh everyday using organic high quality flower. They dont have gluten free items but I can handle their rye bread without issues. Pastry items are also super tasty, baklava croissant is something to try. The staff is always friendly and knowledgeable about their products. There are indoor and outdoor sitting area. Parking is paid street parking and can be hard to find during busy times. I highly recommend this place for fresh bakery lovers. Price is on the higher end.”

“Very nice little spot here in the The Pantry! I think they are affiliated with Sapphire - the popular larger restaurant next door. But this spot has its own charm, and is open early! The staff is kind and friendly. Proactive and quick! The food is pretty tasty; but a bit small in terms of the portion for the price. But enjoyable! The coffee was middle tier. The avocado toast was very tasty, but a bit small. Lovely outdoor patio overlooking pch and glimpse of the ocean. Very nice! Dog and kid friendly! Tons of options inside. Wines, pastries, prepacked, fresh to order, etc.”

“UNBELIEVABLE!! Maybe the best breakfast-lunch experience ever! Not one bad thing to say about my family's recent dining experience. You know a place is great when all five people in your party rave about the experience. I strongly suggest this place. Although it was my first time, other members in the party have eaten at this place several times. My veggie (feta and spinach) omelet was outstanding. The seasoned potato cubes and toast were also excellent. However, the star of the plate was the homemade raspberry jam. I think it was something more of a jam on steroids. That stuff is addicting. Service is outstanding and price to portion is good considering the quality of food. My omelet was at least three eggs...large eggs (maybe even four). You get a handful of potatoes, two pieces of toast, and the jam for $11.50. Throw in the quaint inside and outside deck within view of the ocean a mere couple of blocks away and you can see why this place is a gem. I urge you to check the menu (pictures of various items) on their website. It's pretty big with tons of variety.”

“My daughter and I recently went to go grab a healthy snack at Banzai Bowls. The staff was incredibly friendly and the ambiance was comforting as well. Not to mention, a healthy and refreshing meal. While it usually has a longer wait, please come prepared for it, as the bowls are handmade. You won't regret it.”

“Went in for breakfast, got some french toast and eggs and it was all just... Ok. Okay service (the waitress seemed grumpy) and the okay food, truthfully it was kind of bland but their hot sauce was great. Good for a quick breakfast, but wasn't memorable. But they're pretty dog friendly which is a plus!”

“Great spot to grab a coffee and some delicious breakfast. Order the breakfast burger and potatoes on the side, it's my personal favorite. One thing the place could do is open more windows or add some fans for some air circulation it can get really hot in there if you're eating inside. I will say this, it is a little pricey for breakfast but you get what you pay for and the food here is really good..”

“Wonderful staff and food! As a vegan I was able to walk in and ask what options they had for me and the staff were super helpful and able to answer all my questions! I was able to get some wonderful food that tasted fantastic! The only criticism I would give is that everything is VERY oilly so not something I could eat everyday. I would suggest ordering a lighter item like the coleslaw with your food, like my friend did, beacuse it really helps balance everything out nicely.”

“Best bread pudding I've ever had in my life! Nice and warm and very moist. Order it from the breakfast menu, with the caramelized bananas on top, and ask for extra sauce. I got the plain one not the cinnamon raisin one. The coffee is nice and bold. You can even put agave nectar in your coffee to sweeten it if you wish. The orange juice is literally freshly squeezed. The breakfast pizza wasn't that great, too dry. In fact all of their pizzas need more sauce. They also poach their eggs too hard, so be sure to ask for poached soft. Great ambience! Just order at the counter, then find a table at the abundant outdoor seating.”

“Excellent value and great selection of dishes. Skip the Urth line next door and eat here. There’s a shaded area in the back, away from the road. Plenty of seating, great food, good prices and NO LINE!”

“Wonderful meals, coffee and baked goods. A great place with outdoor dog friendly seating on their roof. We literally bought all of their baked goods to try and came back for more later the same day. Good soups, sandwiches and flat breads. A reasonably priced lunch deal that is available all day”

“The breakfast place we were going to was closed for renovation, so we Yelped to Kitchen in the Canyon. It's a quaint, modern, nicely appointed place. We arrived on a Saturday morning about an hour after they opened and pretty much had the place to ourselves (the surge came at 9:00). It was FREEZING inside! We ordered the bourbon maple waffle plate special and the waffles were lukewarm and soggy. The bacon was great, but they used too much vinegar with the poached eggs. One daughter had the avocado toast and loved it. My other daughter had the blueberry muffin--full of blueberries, cinnamon, and crystallized sugar. Yummy! All in, an OK experience but not the 5-star others seem to enjoy.”
