“The breakfast place we were going to was closed for renovation, so we Yelped to Kitchen in the Canyon. It's a quaint, modern, nicely appointed place. We arrived on a Saturday morning about an hour after they opened and pretty much had the place to ourselves (the surge came at 9:00). It was FREEZING inside! We ordered the bourbon maple waffle plate special and the waffles were lukewarm and soggy. The bacon was great, but they used too much vinegar with the poached eggs. One daughter had the avocado toast and loved it. My other daughter had the blueberry muffin--full of blueberries, cinnamon, and crystallized sugar. Yummy! All in, an OK experience but not the 5-star others seem to enjoy.”

“In my opinion, Another Kind serves some of the best Vietnamese in the OC (yep, better than Stanton). Go for the special #1 or oodles of noodles, and don't forget to try the spring rolls. The small indoor/outdoor dining room can get busy, and since the meals are all freshly prepared, go early because they do run out of popular items. The staff and service are excellent too. Hopefully the pork buns will return soon (wink).”

“Place looked awesome. It could be me, but my food was not that great. Not at all what I expected, and I was quite hungry. My wife and oldest daughter got a large order of pastrami cheese fries, but it looked like a small order. My burger had pastrami on it, but it did not have any flavor. The staff was really nice though. Please note, there is no bathroom on site.”

“Best authentic Chinese food in Laguna Beach!!! my favorite dish is the honey walnut shrimp but everything is so good there. I have yet to be disappointed! They serve big portions so it’s s great place for family style eating! I highly recommend this restaurant! ????”
