“Lobster was really good, bread was grilled/ toasted to perfection. We ordered one Connecticut style, which is warm and it was served with melted butter. We also had the clam chowder, it was really good, I mean who could skip that pairing? Blue Cheese coleslaw, it was different, but really good- IF you are a bleu cheese fan, 4 of us were, and we had to order another one! Not big enough for larger parties (5) hence the name shack. We had to sit outside, it was a little cold. We all love lobster rolls and this was a great find, to my surprise it only had 8 reviews, so I thought I’d add one, because every shack deserves some love.”

“Our go-to spot for seafood in Laguna Niguel. We have been going to the one in San Clemente for a year or so, and were excited to see them open a location here. Growing up on the East Coast, I have an appreciate for good seafood. Their Drunken Clams, Oyster Po' Boy sandwich and clam chowder are all excellent, as are all of the other dishes we have tried. Also a good selection of local beers. Best of all, the prices are GREAT, in a time when restaurant prices are up everywhere. The upcoming addition of an outdoor patio will increase their seating and make it even better. Also, be sure to check out their 3-5pm Happy Hour. Highly recommended.”

“O'Shea is a fantastic homebrew/brew supply store. They have a wide range of expertise, services, and catalog of ingredients. Here you can buy grains, malts, hops, yeast, equipment, and so much more. Staff here will help guide you to the products that will deliver you a successful brew. They even fill carbon dioxide (CO2) tanks! I wish I had stopped in here earlier. Thanks O'Shea! “Was seriously craving a breakfast burrito, so I stopped by this new place on a whim, and took one to-go. I'm vegetarian (and the menu is quite meat heavy) but I got the Monster Papas burrito (vegetarian-friendly refried beans, scrambled eggs, potatoes and cheese) and it was GOOD. Huuuuuuge, but I actually ate the whole thing, and don't regret it! Ha! There's a salsa bar, and I tried the red and orange ones - both really tasty with a good amount of spice! I also went back to try the vegetarian burrito (not on the menu) which was fine but not great, so I think they need to work on their meat-free options. But the staff is very nice, and I'll come back for breakfast!”

“This is our favorite breakfast place in the area! Their eggs Benedict are the only thing I’ve ever tried because they are THAT good! I highly recommend eating something small before you go though, especially on the weekend, because there is always a wait. They don’t take reservations but they sort of have a waiting list that you can try to get on before you arrive? It’s worth the wait though! We’ve probably eaten there once a month for the past 7 months.”

“The food was excellent as was the service. Our server Andrew was one of the best, most personable servers I have ever had. Had a party of 8 which the place is not really designed for, but they handled it perfectly. The menu has a lot of interesting choices, including a lot of Mexican seafood. The atmosphere inside is fun and the bar was lively. Many people sitting at the bar eating. The back side is open to outdoors so it is a nice environment, but just a bit loud since it is near the street. Overall very much enjoyed the place.”

“Amazing food. Very fresh and flavorful. You must try the cauliflower appetizer. Crispy cauliflower tossed in a sweet, spicy sauce with ginger, chili, bell peppers and garlic. Also had the lamb meatball curry. Amazing! The restaurant and kitchen are small, so next time we will order take out. They are very busy (hooray!) and will absolutely get your food to you as fast as they can. Owner and staff are wonderful.”

“Service and food is great their breakfast burritos are awesome! Only reason I’m giving a 3 star instead of 5 is due to their poor online/phone takeout ordering system. Tried calling and their phone was disconnected. I ordered online and the food wasn’t ready when I arrived. It took a whole hour to get my food from when I ordered it. And when I did get it. They labeled it wrong. I would suggest ordering at the shop. It’s quicker and more efficient.”

“Very excited to see this place is open. Signature was awful, we went once maybe a decade ago and never came back. In the week this has been open, we've already visited a few times. The staff is super attentive. Remodel looks awesome. Yes of course, as some mentioned, there's some kinks to work out, but they've literally been open only days so I'm my opinion they're doing great. If the worst thing that happened is I had to walk up to the bar to pick up my beers since they never made it back to the table, no big... Seriously, not a big deal. My only complaint, which really has nothing to do with the Taproom, is the Tres Compas food is expensive. It's delicious, don't get me wrong. But "mini nachos" for $22 or hot wings for $20, that's pretty intense. I like that they are serving inside, but I almost wish they had gone the more affordable rotating food truck route. Nevertheless, beers are reasonably priced and again staff is super friendly, so still happy to stop by for drinks. Thanks for bringing something new to this tired plaza!”

“I would like to share an experience that I had at this Starbucks today. I accidentally ordered my Drink and Food at the Starbucks near my house and I did what I would do if it happened at any other Starbucks. I work across the street and I walked over and showed them my receipt. Told them I accidentally ordered at the wrong place. After they made my drink and food Abby asked to see my receipt again after I already showed it before they made my order. I thought that was strange. Then before she hands me my food she states that she was told by someone that this has happened to me several times and if it happens again she will not be able to honor my order. She said it like I purposely placed my order at the wrong store. I work across the street so sure this has happened in the past but not anytime since the pandemic. I went online to see what it says on Starbucks website and they are suppose to make your order if you order at the wrong store. That was not only embarrassing but also terrible costumer service. I will not order from here again! I will contact Starbucks costumer service like they state on the website and tell them how I was treated, because if they don't honor your order you can contact customer service and make a complaint. Update: Talked to Steve the manager he handled the situation very well.”
