“Overall - good stuff, but a little pricey for what it is. I’ll be back. The one star reviews are just silly and unfair. Just walking up to the place, it smells great, with multiple smokers cranking away outside. I ordered a turkey deli sandwich and a brisket Mac bowl. The sandwich had great, peppery, smoked turkey but the roll that it came on was very dry and maybe a little stale. It kind of tanked the sandwich (which was NOT typical sandwich price range at 16 dollars!!!) I asked for extra Mayo but there wasn’t enough (given the dryness of the bread). I think if you got a fresh or even locally sourced roll - the sandwich would be killer!! The brisket and mac and cheese were both soo tasty, but I wish there was more brisket on there given that it cost 17 dollars…. Also enjoyed the coleslaw and the BBQ sauces.”

“I'm so grateful I saw this place from the freeway! I wasn't even planning on getting food...but I did need to get out and stretch. And duh, I love little places! Everyone was super nice! They have a very small inside seating area, but a very cute, half inside half outside, sitting area. Food was great! The Al Pastor taco came with pineapple. That was new to me, thanks! I rarely get much cheese, but vacation rules were in effect and I got a queso birria ... I highly recommend that! The salsas were good, not very spicy, unless I missed it. Very tasty though. Thanks guys and gals for a great meal and being so friendly! You got a great spot to stretch at and grab some grub! Side note, if you have picky kids...they have mini corndogs and chicken strips and fries and stuff. My kids were happy with it.”

“I apologize for not leaving a review..my dog. Other n i went thru there to see my cuzn after 14yrs. We liked the place alot..may b small but friendly good lol. Decent prices clean store and the quirky 25¢ machine in the bthrm we laughed so hard he even looked for more qrtrs.. thank u for the memory for he passed in car accident that nite....we parked and chatted for a bit was never bothered by anyone.. 🥲”

“This Mexican restaurant has a hard act to follow after Cafe Luna closed it’s doors, but they are doing a pretty good job! Looks like plenty of seating and it’s in a good location to serve the locals and occasional tourists. Hopefully they will get freeway business, but I hope it doesn’t get so busy that there’s a line to get in the door. Food was very good and service was just as good. We will be regular customers”

“Rockstar staff in the mornings! I love rolling up to the intercom or window and being greeted by name. Half the time my brains too tired to order right but the lovely ladies know exactly the way I like it. Gotta give a shout out to Tammy, Angie, and Brie for always bringing a smile to my face along with a perfect cup of coffee ;) The entire staff is wonderful and they are always working hard together as a team. The friendly staff here makes it feel like a hometown coffee shop instead of that corporate feel. Thank you all, it is always a pleasure.”

“Great little ice cream shop on main street. Good location and lots of options from ice cream, shaved ice and milkshakes to gummy candy, taffy and jelly beans. Wonderful staff and a great place to stop for something cold on a hot day. They can get pretty busy sometimes though.”

“I have only been here twice, both times to pick up an order. They are right off of I-80 easy to find. Their food is great and in good size portions. This is a classic Chinese setting, big open dining area, lots of tables, etc. They have a few specialties, but a mostly standard menu. I only took a star off because they are a little under-staffed...which is understandable in Colfax where there is not a big population. I had to call a couple of times to get through to place an order, then had to wait for a bit once I got there for them to get the order ready. Overall ...largest menu to choose from in Colfax, great for parties of one to twenty people!”

“My wife, my father and I were just setting off on our road trip across country and we stopped here to eat before we go. The gentleman working that morning was so welcoming, friendlyand excited for our adventure. We each had different signature sandwiches and they were all fantastic. They were big for the standard size and greatly satisfied us. Before we left he said safe travels. We will be back for sure when we visit! Amazing place!”

“Only a couple of minutes off of highway 80 in Colfax. Parking in front is sparse, but we we're lucky and got a spot on the street right in front of the door . We arrived at 6:30 pm on a Sunday night and it was not crowded. Happily they stay open until 8 pm on Sundays. The 11.5" wood fired pizzas are excellent, as is the Caesar salad, and the food came very quickly. They have $6 draft beer specials and a variety of non-alcoholic beverages. My only complaint is that if you want a diet soda, you are stuck with Diet Coke. Trivia: they go through a cord of wood every month”
