“For such a small place, this restaurant has a lot of heart. The owner Max seems really friendly and very serious about providing the highest quality food that he can. The decor is clean and the atmosphere has a southern, cowboy sort of feel. The potions are good sized. While the food takes a little while to get prepared, it's because they cook everything fresh to order. My only complaint is that the cornbread was too dense for my taste, and the honey butter tasted awful. I'm not sure if there was something wrong with the batch of butter I had? However if you are not happy with something, just speak to Max and he will make it right for you.”

“Fabulous local treasure across the street from the Double Tree Golf Resort. Very well prepared, delicious food in a warm inviting place. The Asada platter for two was incredible. The short ribs, shrimp, burrito and whole fried fish were seasoned and cooked to perfection. Thank goodness the front desk steered us to this lovely location for our best meal in a week in this area. “My office recently moved and so I on a mission to check out local lunch spots in Rancho Mirage. I have lived in the Valley for 20+ years and I never heard of The HoneyBaked Ham Co. When I first walked in I couldn't tell if they were retro on purpose or just that old and really clean. I found out from one of the staff that they have been in the desert for 50 years so very clean and well maintained. I tried the Tavern Club lunch special and loved it. Quality ingredients, good portion sizes, and fairly priced. When I asked some others about it they said they are known for their family meals especially during the holidays. I can't wait to go back and try more items.”

“Strange to be doing a review about coffee when all the other reviews are about tires, tubes, and chains. But it’s a pleasantly great addition to the PD coffee scene (if one even exists). They had a rad little bar and outdoor patio which is great whether you’re on 2 wheels or 4. Definitely going back especially once they build out the full kitchen.”

“Do you want the best Baklava and Turkish coffee? Go to the Golden Dates Cafe. What a lovely spot and what lovely folks who run it! Usually I’m not a huge fan of Baklava but this one is different. Really featured the delicate pistachio flavor instead of an emphasis on the honey. The Turkish coffee was smooth with beautiful cardamom aromas. This will be a place I visit every time I’m in town!”

“You must check this place out. We started with the Brussel sprouts appetizer that was really good. Then my husband and I shared the burrata pesto pizza on a cauliflower crust and the Caesar Salad.
