This is a local home town spot that you have to go to when in 29 palms visiting Joshua Tree National Park. “Jumbo Rock Cafe' is an excellent example of why you shouldn't knock it till you try it. If it's your first time there, you may be a little confused walking into a Mobil gas station. The cafe/restaurant is located inside the back of the gas station. However, I can assure you, you will not be disappointed! Jumbo Cafe has an amazing menu and is quite the neat little cafe. The food is above all, amazing! I would highly recommend the Monument Burger. It is the best burger I have had from Twentynine Palms to Yucca Valley. I will update this review if I find something better.”

“I ordered the Sante Fe Skillet with sourdough toast. For the eggs, I went with sunny side up. I drizzled ranch on top. Overall, the meal was very satisfying. The only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I had to wait for my toast to come out. I just sat there looking at my food wondering how long it would be until I could enjoy my meal.”

“Excellent food. Some of the reviews had me worried - one person even called it the Panda Express of Thai food and they couldn't be more wrong. This will be just as good if not better than your favorite Thai restaurant in your home city. The green curry and the spicy fried rice were seasoned and cooked well. Service was a bit slow but the food made up for it. Very nice employees too. You won’t regret eating here. Menu has the standard Thai options and prices were reasonable.”

I had the seafood alfredo for dinner and the orange chiffon cheesecake for dessert, and both were very well crafted, well plated dishes. With a great staff, great food, and a clean facility, I think this might be my new go to.”

There were only a few people in the restaurant and it echoed when she would yell. It wasn't loud so I don't know what she was competing with.
