“This charming and romantic restaurant is my favorite one. Parking can be challenging especially on Sunday morning. When I can’t find parking on the street in front of the restaurant I just park at the hotel Del Coronado and walk over, but you might need to allow yourself dinner 15 extra minutes to meet your party on time. It’s worth it. So sweet!”

“This is the best Mexican food I’ve had in a long time—maybe ever. It’s take-out only, but better than any sit-down place. I will be craving this place until I get back to Coronado.”

“I went during the week, so there was no line and I was seated immediately at the counter. Took a bit to get my menu but after that the service was top notch. Julia was my server and she kept my iced tea refreshed (it was delicious, too, must be freshly brewed). She’s even gave me a to go cup which was an added bonus. I ordered the “Dewey” which is grilled cheese, onions and 1000 Island dressing, and it came with fries. Only $8.95. My sandwich was perfectly cooked and gigantic — I couldn’t finish it all. Definitely a throwback to the 1940s/50s (place opened in 1941) with mini-jukeboxes at your table (they don’t seem to work however, but maybe the main jukebox does). Overall a really nice experience. Good food at reasonable prices on Coronado is a net positive. Will be back.”

“Absolutely a fantastic burger shop in a great Coronado location. This is a small restaurant but the staff does a good job of getting the food out to you quickly. They usually have three good beers on tap. I highly recommend this Burger Lounge to anyone passing through Coronado or visiting.”

“On Orange Avenue in Coronado, CA a venerable tribute bar to our military. A casual atmosphere for Everybody to enjoy, no matter what you are celebrating, or just relaxing. Staff is welcoming and attentive to your needs. An awesome grill that serves up comfort food to tame your hunger. No dress code, but keep your clothes on, thank you.”

“I really enjoyed this place! The sandwich was delicious, many options to choose from, staff was friendly and courteous. I wish they'd open up on the East Coast.”

“I travel for a living, and often dine out at some of the best restaurants in Seattle, San Fransisco, New York, San Antonio, New Orleans, etc... The food here was excellent, and the service was above and beyond. Lily, our waitress was amazing, the bar tender came to our table and talked over some options for drinks and offered several samples because she wanted to make sure we were happy with our cocktails. The mussels were some of the best I have had, including Seattle. All in all, a fantastic experience. Thank you to the chef and staff for a lovely evening.”

“This is an absolutely first-class wonderful restaurant and I highly recommend it. The food is outstanding and the service is the best. When I first checked it out on the Internet, I saw a negative review of its Caesar Salad so, when we got there, this was the first thing I ordered. Never (never!) had I had a better Caesar Salad. As I said, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! GO THERE. YOU WON'T BE DISAPPOINTED.”

“This is a good location. Very busy and Coronado has very high expectations. It is always full so they are meeting expectations. I like the soup and salad combo in the colder months. I tried spicy thai salad and bowl of fall squash soup. Very nice.”

“Best waffles ever. Simple, easy, done. Recommend to everyone. Do lose one star because while I love their whole idea of being super duper casual and chill, it did make it really confusing as far as seating, ordering, paying... While we were eating, someone walked in and shouted to anyone who'd listen if they could sit in whatever table, so some signage wouldn't go amiss.”

“This Pizza Restaurant located on a Naval Air Station North Island is one of my favorite lunch spots on the base. compared to local chain pizza restaurants, the food is surprisingly very good and the prices are pretty decent. They have plenty of seating and the people working there are always nice. Parking is super limited due to it being right next to the barracks. The place itself is a little dated however.”
