“Better Buzz has the best coffee in San Diego, hands down. They roast in small batches and the coffee is excellent. I'm so excited that they opened this location here on Coronado. They are in a prime location. The staff was friendly and the decor is beautiful. I can't praise Better Buzz enough. You will be pleasantly surprised by everything on the menu.”

“The overall rating is a 9/10. Food: Tried the lemon tart, Nutella, NY roll, and macarons. All should be tried except the roll could be skipped. Atmosphere: Very nice place with a patio. Clean and well laid out. Service: Friendly service and decent wait times. No real recommendation for improvements.”

“Lovely book and coffee shop. Had coffee, a smoothie and bought some stickers from the shop. All fantastic. Sat outside under the umbrella and watched the people of Coronado go by. Good WiFi too!”

“Because it was busy we sat outside which due to the weather was a little too cold. That is the only negative thing I have to say and it has nothing to do really with the restaurant. I had the hanger steak salad and it was amazing. The espresso chocolate torte was perfect too. I highly recommend this place. It was also nice that it seemed like all locals there.”

“Wonderful and attentive staff. Good size portions that could easily be shared. We ordered the chicken enchiladas and Angus burger. Really good! We can recommend both. Really good latte too! We would recommend this place. Price is more in the $$$ range, but well worth it.”

“I had called in advance hoping to find some homemade soup. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by very caring owners who provided a friendly atmosphere. They made us feel like their extended family. We are new to the area and are happy to report their soup was delicious and reminded me of when our own family enjoyed a fresh batch on those cold and cloudy days.”

“Food is okay. Very expensive. At least double the price for what you get other places. Felt like they have monopoly as nothing else is there on the resort. If you are a vegetarian/vegan, there aren't many options either. If you can drive, there are so many decent places within 10 mins of driving south to Imperial beach.”

“What can I say other than the name McDonalds speaks for itself--a varied menu, a quick "meal", and product tastes are okay. It is what you expect a quality MC Donald restaurant to be. Clean and bright surroundings, consistent quality, and prices might occasionally be a little up there but you get the speediest hamburger service in the burger business!”

“Fantastic. Quick guys here and some tasty bagels. Pretty inexpensive too. Makes a great morning if you can snag one of the tables outside and enjoy the sun too. Whatever kind of jelly they use, probably normal strawberry, is amazing. It simply tastes better here.”

“I went during the week, so there was no line and I was seated immediately at the counter. Took a bit to get my menu but after that the service was top notch. Julia was my server and she kept my iced tea refreshed (it was delicious, too, must be freshly brewed). She’s even gave me a to go cup which was an added bonus. I ordered the “Dewey” which is grilled cheese, onions and 1000 Island dressing, and it came with fries. Only $8.95. My sandwich was perfectly cooked and gigantic — I couldn’t finish it all. Definitely a throwback to the 1940s/50s (place opened in 1941) with mini-jukeboxes at your table (they don’t seem to work however, but maybe the main jukebox does). Overall a really nice experience. Good food at reasonable prices on Coronado is a net positive. Will be back.”

“This is a good location. Very busy and Coronado has very high expectations. It is always full so they are meeting expectations. I like the soup and salad combo in the colder months. I tried spicy thai salad and bowl of fall squash soup. Very nice.”
