“I haven't had submarina in YEARS!!! And the expectation was high to say the least, and this location did NOT disappoint! I got there right when they were opening and having been in food service 90% of my adult life, I know it's tough to greet the 1st customer with happiness and bubbly personality but these workers did just that! They were even training a new employee and were so patient and kind to her, I was delighted. The owner rang me up and was kind enough to exchange some pleasantries too. Food didn't disappoint thank goodness, I think my heart would have broken!”

“Excellent experience! The staff was phenomenal, and answered any and all questions I had about the menu and the specials. I was unsure if I'd like a soup on the menu, and they brought out a sample cup for me to try. I ordered the oysters, and a New York steak, which was delicious and cooked to perfection. The food exceeded my expectations, and was well worth the price! I'll definitely be eating here again!”

“The restaurant sits above a secluded grotto - a large pond surrounded by trees and shrubs - which is the home of ducks,geese crane, herons,and other assorted birds. You can enjoy the view from a window booth, or there is also seating outside by the lake. A wide variety of seafood is served, all of it delicious. Service is excellent. You can buy food for the ducks and feed them if you wish, which we did after dinner. Highly recommend this place!”

Drinks are reasonably priced and the hookah master they got there knows what he is doing. Tip, 1.make reservations if you plan to come Friday night or on the weekend. It is usually a full house. 2. Consistency is the key and it's obvious the management, specifically Arnoldo maintains high standards of service, cleanliness and especially flavor. “If you love good beer and enjoying it with a great cigar, then you will love this place. Inside is just a regular bar, but they have two large humidor rooms with a decent assortment of cigars. If you want to smoke and drink, you have to do it on the back patio so bring a jacket if it is cold out. The back patio has quite a few tables and chairs and a TV, as well as space heaters. It was very comfortable space. If you just want drinks however, you can choose to go inside out out, and the bartender was happy to recommend drinks to go with the cigars we choose. Over all this place was awesome, and I'll definitely be back!”

“Great pizza, great drinks, vibrant setting. The pizza we've tried is ordered by the slice, thin and crispy, prepared by re-heating in their large pizza oven. There's a good variety of options on their menu, which you can browse in their display case. So far we love the Pesto Spinach Delish and the Spicy Veggie. Cocktails at the indoor bar are delicious. So far we've tried the mule and the blackberry tequila specialty drinks. The mule differs slightly from the standard, but holds its own. The tequila outshines all drinks in its category. I'd rather have this than a margarita in most cases. We'll keep coming back just for this drink, but it helps that the pizza is so good! Only complaints are the environment. There's a lot of outdoor seating, but not very much indoor space for cold evenings. The place also seems to be a very popular place for families to bring their kids, which brings some chaos to the bar area even later into the evening. Overall, it's a fun, beach and surf themed pizza restaurant with great, thin & crispy pizza by the slice and refreshing drinks at the bar!”

“Definitely a great date place, nice environment, met the owner who was really really nice. My wife and I ate here for the first time and had a great dinner. I got the curbside burger, 1/2 pound patty, brie cheese, bacon jelly, etc. Really good, was maybe a little under done than the medium I requested but really a good burger. Wife got the tostadas which she like as well. Good beer too! Look forward to coming back in the warmer nights when they can open up the garage style windows”

“Centifonti's has been a perfect date night getaway, a pop-in dessert stop, and a family weeknight eating-out dinner location for us for years! They maintain a fresh compliment of draft beers ranging all types from sours to ales to stouts. The food is amazing, the ice cream is divine. Stop reading and just take a trip there already. Tonight was our first time experiencing live music, and it was superb. Centifonti's is a must-do place for La Mesa locals, and anyone visiting the area!”

“Great casual place with Great house brewed beers. The new brewer really knows what's she's doing. Now on to the wonderful food. Of you like curry go for the cauliflower. With the jam and mustard. OH YA... Scotch egg was perfect and melted in your mouth. Shortbread cookie was soft and buttery. Great place. Breakfast was also yummy here. Tried the "Brekkie" which is eggs, potatoes, a grilled tomato and wonderful selection of grilled sausages. Owner is a great gentleman and is around often introducing himself. Will come back often.”

“My husband and I went out for something to eat and decided to try IHOP on Spring Street. To our surprise we ate the BEST Classic with bacon steak burger ever!! It was clean, roomy, busy and restrooms were also clean! I was surprised, however, of how quickly they took everyone's order, and I was even more surprised when I was out the door with my drink only a few minutes later. Honestly whoever was working that day needs a promotion. They always nail the order - speed and consistency is what I've come to expect at Jamba Juice. I just wish they would blend the smoothies a bit longer - I always seem to be left with a few chunks of fruit in the bottom (although I could probably just request this of them no problem).”
