“This, used to be Hometown Buffet for those of you who live in the neighborhood. Some of their food is great, some is just so so. On the great side: Mongolian bbq, sushi, fresh fruit, peaches and honeydew, and cantaloupe and oranges, jello, fresh steamed veggies like cabbage, fried fish, egg foo yung my favorite! They have pork chops which I love. They were boneless and thin cut, and terribly overcooked, but I ate them anyway because the seasoning was on point. I did take pictures but I tend to forget to take a picture of my plate because I'm too busy eating 🙃. Their meat loaf and roast beef was tasty. Pretty good egg rolls too. I'm posting pictures of receipts for lunch and dinner. Their prices aren't posted on their website. They also have a very nice dessert selection. Even cotton candy for the kids! I had chocolate cake and the frosting tasted like coffee. Delicious! I recommend this place. Foods good and it's near home, a big plus when you don't feel like driving around”

“Hidden gem! San Diego has recently legalized home based restaurants and Erlene’s is one of the leaders in this new concept! Chef Erlene has a fabulously beautiful patio area set for dining and entertaining small groups and is proficient in serving up any cuisine you can imagine. Her chicken piccata and rice pilaf (which is what we had for our anniversary dinner) are amazing. She makes home made desserts and baked goods to round out the meal with tea party service and/or coffee available as well. Where else can you get essentially a private dining experience where the whole restaurant is yours and your choice of cuisine for less than thousands of dollars? Amazing experience!”

“So this place is interesting. I like the concept they have, which is healthy Korean food. I love Korean food, but i rated this place low because the flavors just aren't there for me. I'm a cook and I know it's possible to make something healthy and tasty. I think it was lacking in garlic. From my experience with Korean food it usually carries a nice dose of garlic. But this place disappointed in that sense. This was my first timeand i got it delivered. So give it a try and let me know what you think.”

“This location just opened up by my house. I’m glad too because I use to have to go all the way to National City which was a drag. I’ve ordered twice on the app and both times I received my order correctly utensils, sauces and all. I was a jerk the first time I went, because I waited outside and had set curbside pickup, but this location does not have that yet. Still I didn’t have to be a jerk. I went back today and everything was on point again. This time I walked right in and grabbed my order which was ready 5 minutes after I placed it on the app with nothing missing. The app is kinda lame and you have to add the promos at the end before paying which was a bit awkward. But once I added the coupon the price was adjusted to reflect the special price for the family meal. I must admit I love this spot so far. Plus, being on a diet, it’s quite helpful that there is less calories in grilled chicken. Will definitely keep coming when I can afford it. Good thing they have some good promos on the app.”

“Such a tasty spot! This is my family’s go-to carnitas spot. I love that they give you a courtesy taco while you’re waiting for your order to be packed up. The carnitas are super good. Flavor all around. I’ve been to other places where the flavor isn’t evened out and the carnitas are overall bland but NOT this place. Customer service is great as well and I can’t wait to check out the rest of the tasty menu. Definitely check them out if you’re in the mood for carnitas :)”

I have tried tofu options numerous times at other places , and have been disappointed. Great consistency and flavor here. I've had their meat plates too and both are really good. Enough for leftovers :} Btw, I did not see any flies tonight, or ever. But that sounds awful. Cashier was accommodating and patient as I was looking for something to drink. (Out of lemons so was able to do a cucumber water instead). Really happy I've happened upon this spot.”
