“I was visiting La Jolla and walking to a coffee shop I seen online to try. However, as I was walking I saw a sign with a menu for this coffee shop. I seen “Vietnamese coffee” which is my favorite. So I figured I’d detour and check it out. It’s a very cute little shop. I was hesitant if I was going to by anything. Upon walking in, the owner Gene, was putting up air fresheners. We started chatting and his personality and friendliness made me inclined to try his coffee. There are these super cute/funny greeting cards for sale and some cool air fresheners made by his friend. Overall, coffee was delicious and atmosphere and customer service was fantastic. I will definitely go back! Thank you Gene and hope to see this coffee shop as successful as it deserves!!”

“This is an amazing addition to Mission + Garnet! There are a couple of other places around that you can get similar food, but this place is cheaper and so much better. I'm sure you'll see reviews about their service, but as a local I can tell you that you just need to walk around to any of the lovely humans in the storefronts and they can help you out. They won't always be at the restaurant you expect, but they all work together seamlessly! I come here very often for a reason. 10/10 recommend!”

“This restaurant opened this week and we went there for dinner on their third day. We have been long time fans of the sister restaurant Cesarina, and so we were very excited to check this place out. This restaurant is in the old BO-beau location. I highly recommend getting reservations for dinner. They have an extensive menu. Some of the Cesarina favorites are now going to be exclusively available at Elvira. I am vegetarian and my friends eat meat so we ordered a lot of things off the menu. Everything tasted good. The pastas were exactly like the pastas from Cesarina ,so no complaints there. Since this is a pizza restaurant, we want to try pizzas and we ordered a couple of them. The Ortolona and Parmigiana were both excellent pizzas, and they were both vegetarian. The parmigiana was definitely a showstopper with the smoked provola, fried eggplant, and mozzarella on it. In the dessert section we ended up ordering CIAMBELLINE MBRIACHELLE. These were hard fried donuts that you could eat with whipped cream and chocolate sauce. The donuts had a find taste of anise.. we all liked the dessert but we did not love it. we will explore the dessert menu more as we keep going back to this place. Last thing to mention is that the restaurant runs hot, so definitely wear layers that can be peeled off if needed ,if you’re going there. This restaurant definitely is another gem in the Italian restaurant scene of San Diego. Will definitely be going back here.”

“Ordered an 8 piece (small) boneless with honey soy sauce, Ddokbokki and a side of corn slaw. Great to share with two. The chicken was nice and crispy; the honey soy sauce is definitely a top pick if you are not into spicy flavors. The Ddokbokki had a good portion of soft and chewy rice cake, could have a little more fish cake too but it was quite nice. The spice is not instant but it's a nice slow buildup that is not too spicy. The corn slaw was nice to offset the spice. There was also a small portion of pickled veggies not photographed. The location is not crowded and the staff were very nice and patient as we decided our order.”

“This place was outrageously good! Unfortunately, the first time we went happens to be their last day of business. I'm not sure why they had to close the restaurant, but hopefully either for relocating purposes or turning into a new restaurant. Will be following to see their next step. Food was tapas American style. Wagyu chicken steak, candied pork belly bacon, chicken and waffle, avocado toast, and short ribs grilled sandwich with a side of white peach mimosa. 🤌🤌🤌 Everything was delicious. Loved our waitress Erin too. She's so lively and awesome.”
