“Food was great and service was also awesome! I love supporting local businesses and so glad we found this place. We wanted to try just about everything so we got the Maine Event - Connecticut style (I think), which was one shrimp, one crab and one lobster roll and also got the lobster bisque, which I absolutely loved! If we are in the area again in the future, we will definitely come back!”

“Decided to try this place for a date night. We showed up early without a reservation and put our name on the list, were quoted about 60 minutes for a bar seat (with full service). We were pleasantly surprised to be seated at a table 15 minutes later! The waiter was very knowledgable on the menu and wine selection, and let us try a few wines before settling on a glass. We ordered the Focaccia and Squash Blossoms for an appetizer. The Focaccia came fresh out of the oven, and the Blossoms followed shortly after. The Blossom were stuffed with an eggplant mixture instead of the usual goat cheese, which was a nice change and were absolutely delicious. We ordered the Spaghettoni and Pappardelle; the pasta was definitely freshly made and not dried out of a box. I would say the Pappardelle was better than the Spaghettoni, but neither dish was short on flavor and really depends on your taste preference. I appreciate the amount of sauce on the Spaghettoni and the amount of Duck in the Pappardelle. We finished off with the coffee and cream desert, which came in a decorative clam shell shaped dish and was excellent and very rich. Overall would definitely come back to this place, the food, vibe, and service were top notch and the handmade pasta is delicious.”

“If you’re in San Diego and you haven’t been to this restaurant you are doing something wrong. Let’s start by saying the restaurant is so BEAUTIFUL! The services is AMAZING! waitress and owner are amazing, so friendly, polite and dedicate. Now let’s talk about food! FOOD IS DELICIOUS, omg this is the first restaurant I go and every dish I try is delicious/astounding! We ordered the chicken Pho, Korean bbq short rib, mussels and shrimp pasta and oysters. Woow everything was delicious, well seasoned and fresh. Definitely a must go, so sad we live in Boston and I can’t take this restaurant with me. Will definitely coming back to San Diego to eat this delicious food again.”

“Today was raining and it was a good day for a nice indoor brunch m. We found this new opened restaurant in our neighborhood. There were a lot of people here today for Sunday brunch. I really like the decorations, the blue couches are so cute. I ordered a Croque Madame. And my husband had a breakfast on a bun. Both are delicious. It was a little bit oily for me, but it felt very satisfying. I like their hash brown a lot. My husband’s biscuit is yummy as well. We will definitely come back to try more foods!”

“A really neat shared space with Lost Cause Meadery and Rollin' Roots. Dog-friendly which we love! Overall the ciders were on the drier end, not very sweet at all. We did a tasting which was a good way to sample the different flavors. Our favorite was the Poached Pear (definitely the sweetest) and there was one with Lavender in it (I can't remember the name but it was quite lovely). They also have really unique flavors like Bloody Mary. I would say if you only like sweet ciders this is probably not the place for you, however you can always go and get mead from Lost Cause Meadery (very sweet) or grab a bite from the delicious Rollin' Roots.”

“Food: 5/5 Service and Setting: 3/5 Value: 4/5 There has been a new rule floating around social media that the best Asian restaurants always hover around a 3.5/5. My meal at Golden Chopsticks confirms that. While I hope that my rating doesn’t throw the rule out completely, I hope that it encourages more people to try the food out. The restaurant is newly renovated and very clean. The service is a bit terse but efficient as it is in most Chinese restaurants. My food took a little more time than expected but it was extremely fresh. What I enjoyed most about Golden Chopsticks is that food has that old Cantonese charm that I feel many Chinese restaurants are abandoning. Because the Cantonese were the one of the first groups to come and thus created Americanized Chinese food, I believe there is a stigma that Cantonese food is inauthentic and inferior compared to other regions. Golden Chopsticks was a great reminder that these restaurants still exist and serve bomb food. FYI the lunch deal is an amazing value! Salted Pepper Spicy Pork Chops: 6/5 Such a simple dish, but very hard to perfect. Golden Chopsticks does a phenomenal job in creating these pork chops. The batter is extremely crispy and while oily, is not overly so. The meat is perfectly cooked and not a bit dry. The seasonings, especially the brazen MSG crystals, sparkle as you inspect the golden coating. The green onions and chili add an incredible amount of umami. Honestly, it is a tad too salty, but something about it adds to the charm. The overall flavor is simple but the composition of the food creates an incredibly savory depth that is hard to replicate without great chefs. If you want a change of pace, a quick dip into garlic vinegar or sweet and sour sauce help brighten the deep fried landscape. I really enjoyed this dish and will be back to enjoy it again. Corn Soup: 3.5/5 Nothing spectacular but it was very fresh and hot. A great accompaniment to the meal. I put some of the free wonton chips they give you on top and call it a day. Fried Rice: 3.5/5 Again, nothing special but it does have that nostalgic taste that I have missed. I will be sure to try an actual entree fried rice soon! Salted Pepper Wings: 4/5 I had to go back to try these and I will be honest and say that I was not impressed. The flavor is the same as the pork chops but because of the shape of the wings, less seasoning adheres to each piece. Because the batter is so thick, it prevents the skin from rendering and gives the wing an overall more “chicken-y” flavor that I find unpleasant. If you are a diehard chicken eater, get this, but I recommend the pork chops over the wings any day.”

“It's so random that we happened to visit this new restaurant on its opening day! We really liked the sandwiches here and there are so many options for vegetarians/vegans and of course for meat eaters. The Go Go Goose sandwich which is an exclusive specialty for the Sorrento Valley Ike's was amazing! Can't wait to return back here and try some more.”

“Delicious Greek food and an excellent view of the San Diego coast line. The staff was very nice. Like any restaurant order in advance if you your in a pinch. But I will be back especially since it’s hard to find great quality food on this side of the five.”

“I've been coming here for years. They're my favorite yogurt shop on account of using high-quality mixes, a wide variety of toppings, and they offer the flexibility of charging by weight. Whether you want to gorge yourself, or have a light dessert, you can do that. Whatever you choose, it's guaranteed to be tasty!”

“A very pleasant restaurant for breakfast! Visited this place with a friend and we were both surprised and happy with our items! I ordered the new york steak hash and the steak was very juicy and full of taste! The eggs were done perfectly as well and the potatoes tastes great. The platter was very filling for breakfast and the price was very fair! As for drinks, they have many options, including juices and hot beverages. I ordered coffee, and found out they have many types of roasts that you can pour yourself as much as you would want for as many as refills! As for our server, she was very kind and friendly and gave us recommendations for what items we could try. We loved our experience!”

“This is going to be long story but well worth it. I have literally driven across the country this past week. My wife and I are from the Toledo area of Ohio. We looked at some reviews on google to find a good pizza while we are in San Diago for the week. I happily stumbled across Pauly's Pizza Joint. We ordered the Calzone and the Stromboli. These were both amazing. We also got to meet Pauly. We had an amazing visit while picking up our food. I am sorry I cannot remember the young ladies name that was there cooking with him, but I do remember she was from upstate New York. She is a wonderful addition to this business and makes you enjoy being inside. I do not think I can come with the proper words to explain how wonderful the food and these two individuals are. I will be eating here on my next visit and every visit as long as they are open. I would recommend this place to anyone that even thinks of trying this food. I cannot comment on the pizza because I did not have any, but it has to be amazing if anything like what I had. We are leaving in one day, but I may try and sneak out to try a slice and I will write another review if I do. I will leave you with this, if you are even considering this place as an option GO GET SOME!! You will be sorry if you don't, and if you get a chance to talk to Pauly embrace it. Five stars is not enough so I am giving them 10!!!!!!!!!!!”

“We went to soft opening today. Previously we had gone to the other sushi place in this location and had ok meals. The new menu and ownership is phenomenal. A couple of new rolls and a few old ones that make out a fairly robust menu. They added a few nigiri style fish to their menu as well and they were very healthy portioned. The new seating is nice too and you can tell they are putting new life into the place. Staff is quick and the sushi chefs are on point. Definitely will be dining here more often.”
