“Nice Chinese BBQ bar. Recommend beef brisket deckle. There’s still room for restaurant runners and servers to improve. Good side of the service is that servers are constantly collecting used sticks and refilling water. The downside is that mistakes happen here and there: our food portion was served incorrectly (then they served twice the missing portion for apologies) and we were asked to check out before we got served all the food.”

“I've been a fan of Liuyishou Hot Pot in San Mateo for years. I'm so glad that they finally has the second restaurant open in SJ! The interior decor is beautiful, and has a modern, high-class feel that is perfect for any special occasion. As always, The broth is delicious, with a great balance of flavor and variety of options. It makes me feel like I was back to ChongQing! Meats and Vegetables are all fresh as well. The value for money is also great, with generous portions and reasonable prices. I highly recommend Liuyishou Hot Pot SJ for a high-class experience that won't break the bank. Their attentive and friendly staff make the visit even more enjoyable(Thanks Kenny and Shawn!). “Surprisingly the vents didn’t work. I thought these are essential for spicy hotpot places lol. I was on the edge of sneezing the whole time since every other table’s spicy steam floated over. Service is good. Most of the servers seems to be very new and don’t know what the restaurant offers. Food is pretty mediocre. Generally saying it is a 60/100 restaurant that I wouldn’t come back but if someone asks me to join them here I wouldn’t frown upon it.”

“Just a few days ago, a friend at work told my spouse about the Brazilian food, market and specialities at DL Brazuca. Today, we had the privilege of enjoying the Monday lunch special. Mind you, if you do order from here, everyday is a specialty, plus there are quite a few other single-side items available. Our Picanha lunch special was outstanding. Homemade Farofa-out of this world, blend of Luis's spices for the tender Picanha and just enough meat for lunch. Brazilian Brown Beans were delicate and delicious, lightly seasoned and not distracting from the other flavors. I did not take a photo of our lunch, I was too hungry to photo-op. I will tell you, we enjoyed the Picanha, an Esfirra, plus cheesbread, that we had to buy two big pies - Catupiry and Chicken and a Hearts of Palm. Yep, that's right, DL's food was that good, we ordered these for dinner. Two hours later, we drove to pick them up! What does this tell you? Dina and Luis, the owners are delightful and their business will continue to grow as word-of-mouth spreads. Here are a few photos of what we bought today. We will be repeat customers for a very long time to come. PS: When we got home, even with full bellies, we cut into the warm Hearts of Palm pie. OMG, I have to go now, I need more of it...”

“You've probably seen this chicken shop in many Korean Dramas like Crash Landing on You and Goblin... or maybe you saw BTS eating it! For whatever reason, I'm glad they came to the Bay Area. I have tried BBQ Chicken locations in Southern California and they were mediocre, but this Apple Park location exceeded my expectations! The chicken is incredibly juicy here! Very tender and crunchy on the outside. I ordered the Half & Half Whole Chicken for my boyfriend and I to share. It came with about 20 pieces for $32.99. A bit pricey. 10 secret spicy, and 10 golden original crispy. The secret spicy was very saucy, packed with garlic flavor, and had a nice sweetness to it. Not too spicy! The golden original was SO GOOD. A nice crunch and a light oil flavor. Very satisfying and tender. They also provide gloves for eating the chicken, which is very helpful. I'm docking off a star from my rating though because I did find two small black hairs on our chicken pieces.”

“A decent sushi option in the South Bay. I like getting either the chirashi or sashimi here, since their omakase is just okay to me. The rice is served warm, which is a great contrast to the raw fish. I find it a bit strange the sashimi is cut thick and short... Almost like blocks. It doesn't necessarily affect the taste of the fish, but the texture and the temperature is definitely impacted. When slices are cut longer and a bit thinner, I feel like the fish has a more consistent temperature. Here, the center of the fish feels slightly colder than it's exterior. Check in to the wait-list via Yelp! The parking here is pretty narrow, so watch out for pedestrians and cars backing out of tight spaces. You may need to circle the lot like a shark on busy weekends.”

“Had dinner yesterday night and was pleasantly surprised. At first they had this beautiful mural of a hummingbird that was just stunning. The place is very clean and organized. I ordered the ceviche clasico, paella pisco bar and some empanadas. It was all delicious fresh fish and high quality ingredients. The staff was very nice and helpful. Our bartender Raul was such a great bartender he truly is a master of the piscos. Ultimately this was a great experience and would recommend it to everyone who wants to try authentic Peruvian Cuisine.”

“When we walk in, the staff told us we can sit anywhere, which was nice. They are surprisingly spacious and have lots of booths. The menu is kinda smaller than I expected but good nonetheless. When you order the boiler combo, try to at least order 2 like for example, snow crab + king crab so you can get the free side and you'll be satisfied. The sides are $6.95 each and it's expensive for a small portion. Onto the main course, the crabs were so good along with the hot special house sauce, made me teared up. However, there were 1 piece of corn and 2 potatoes (the corn was surprisingly sweet but I didn't try the potatoes). We were still hungry so we got the fryer combo of fish + calamari, and fries. Absolutely worth it and can't say anything bad. The drinks were a little underwhelming for me but it might be different for others. Lastly, the service was outstanding. The staffs were very attentive, free mints/wipes, and they have mouthwash in the bathroom. 9/10, would go back sometime”
