“Traditional Taiwanese Spot. Their drink and snack combo is a bargain. You get a milk tea and a snack for 7 bucks. For the flavor, medium is quite spicy, so recommend to pick mild instead. Personally, I would like to have something sour to pair with the crispy chicken, so Lemon Aiyu is drink go for. Overall, decent price and lots of options, drinks, snacks and Benton box.”

“This experience is very close to a perfect five-star rating. As someone who has a lot of experience with food deserts, Arteaga's Food Center positions itself as a blessing appearing in plain clothes. African American communities are famous for "corner stores," but there aren't anything's "storish" about them. The majority of them make money selling alcohol in minority neighborhoods. For the San Jose area, this layout is the blueprint for fighting back against the one-size-fits-all supermarket concept that's failed time-and-time again. With that said, there were only a few things missing from the experience that precluded it from becoming a five star market. First, they didn't have compostable bags. Plastic waste is a fixable problem in the environment, and revoking plastics from the most basic shopping experiences has proven to be a problem people with money aren't willing to solve, but that's a story for another day. In addition, the meat shop doesn't use butcher paper, instead it also uses plastic bags, and I've already mentioned why that's a factor in the 4-star rating. Outside of these two fixable factors, the rest of the store performs its primary function wonderfully. That function is selling high quality foods for an affordable price. The core pillars of a great diet are fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats, with a variety of bread-based products blended throughout the store. The store offers a seasonal selection of demographic specific food that fits the majority of needs customers have in this area. As mentioned, there is a butcher shop as well, which complements the baked goods and authentic pastries. In summary, Arteaga's succeeds where the "Whole Check Foods" model fails, and is a constant reminder they are the ultimate corner stores. I just wish there were as many of these are their were liquor and convenience stores in our neighborhoods. Even though the store is close to where I live. I still pass two of the less quality "traditional" corners stores on the way to get there. As a bonus, they accept E.B.T, and also hand out coupons to subsidize fruit and vegetable purchases when customers use their cards there. Almost perfect...”

“Pirate themed sushi spot that is unique and fun. The banana in my sushi was one I haven't tried before and had my socks knocked off, it was so good! The dishes were so good, I got to-go dishes for family to enjoy as well. Parking can be tight but is do able in the plaza. Will definitely return to try more dishes, hoping to bring friends and family in the near future. Prices are very fair for the quality we received.”

“I got take out, but when I walked into the restaurant, every day was clean and smelled good. The food was delicious!!! I got the #7 spicy curry and #4 spicy chicken and Thai tea with rainbow jelly. All was so delicious, hot, spicy, and tasty. Definitely recommend going there to sit down and eat or take out! The owner is super friendly as well!”

“Super fresh fish and good prices. I wanted to try a new sushi place because the other options around weren’t doing it for me, and I was really impressed with this one. The crab is amazing! Included pics from my lunch: rainbow roll, angry dragon roll, and mango crunch roll.”

“Glad I found out this place exists, it's a shame it's not on the nash and proper website, probably because it's a shared kitchen but it's greath nonetheless”

“A fantastic new place (previously called Bandi Biryani) which offers food typical to Chennai’s Anglo Indian community and some others. Super unique, delicious and great portion sizes. Love that it’s halal. Strongly recommend the goat biryani and this chicken 65 type dish they have. The biryani comes with a gravy and yogurt. The meat was tender and flavorful. Other items we tried : vada (small fritters), kottu paratha (minced flatbread and chicken) and the Varutha Kozhi kuzhambu which was a spicy (tad bit salty) chicken curry. Would love to try their other items!”

“I’ve gotten this food on DoorDash quite a few times, so an in-person visit was in order. And yum, it’s even better fresh! I got the Bouncer with fries, and the chicken was insanely good. Super crispy fry, nice and crunchy exterior, with a delicious moist interior. I’ll be back again for more good food!”

“Kitchen united mix is the best thing to happen at valley fair mall. You can conveniently pick up food from different restaurants in the mall all at one time. Although went by the other day and looks like they may be closing it down. Usually I see the wonderful team members out front but haven't seen many of them lately which makes me very sad, they were always so helpful. I have friends who work there and order thru mix everyday, now how will they eat. Hopefully this is just a temporary thing and things pick back up again. Please don't take mix from valley fair”

“Their lemongrass pork and chicken were amazing. it's so flavourful and not dry at all. Banh mi and pho were pretty good. The vermicelli bowl was recommended on the menu, but I found it a bit disappointing. All the toppings were delicious, but there was so much vermicelli noodles with no seasoning. I wish the portion is better.”

“I got this to go, so I can't speak for the inside of this place, but the food was flavorful and fresh. I got the Lok Lak (steak and salad), and it was freshly zesty and fulfilling. As for the grilled corn, it was creamy and delicious. This is my first introduction to Cambodian food, and it was definitely a 11/10.”

“We are a comedy club based in the Bay Area and we placed catering orders couple of times from Well Bowlls. Once for a live show and the other time for our team get together. The food was excellent and was ready on time. They even helped us plan our menu and walked us through the various options for us to pick and choose from. The flavors, choices of food were unique and not something you'd get at a regular restaurant. They are even ready to customize your order based on your requirements. Well Bowlls is more than just restaurant or food kitchen. It definitely feels like the food is coming from your kitchen. Typically large orders are messed up, delayed or at least a couple of items on the order might not be good but at Well Bowlls, every single item was perfect and was ready on time. The kids and adults lined up for multiple servings. We are definitely going back to Well Bowlls for our catering orders in the future.”

“Their Boneless Chicken Biryani is good and Gobi Manchurian is excellent. On the other hand, skip their chicken fry piece biryani. It is surprisingly bad compared to their other good offerings. This is not only my opinion but of few other friends too who I referred to this place. As a biryani fan, I was happy with this place when I discovered this new gem recently, but quality and taste seem to be going down already. I could be wrong; will try a few more times and update this review if necessary.”

“I ordered the Hariyali Aloo waffle and curry bowl thru DoorDash. I love dosas. This was the first time I had dosas disguised as waffles! The taste was amazing. I also ordered the Coconut Mango dessert which was basically mango flavored waffle topped with mango sauce and fresh mangoes. Had to fight with my wife for the last piece :D Next time will remember to order 2 :)”

“Not a bad place to get a taste for Vietnamese food. I tried the Rice noodle bowl with stir fried tofu and crispy vegan egg roll. Despite being vegan the egg roll was delicious, crispy, flavorful, and stuffed to bursting. I wish there was option just get the egg roll on its own. The service was great and very understanding of all dietary restrictions and allergens. Took roughly 15 minutes to prepare the order. However, the piece at 20$ a bowl is quite prohibitive for the volume and quality of food provided.”

“I’ve been to almost all the dominos in the South Bay and I have to admit that this one is The BEST dominos in the South Bay. They put the right amount of toppings and they do not cheat the pizza tracker so it’s very accurate. The pizza here also tastes better but that might just be in my mind. Either way 10 out of 10”

“First time trying this place and what really caught my eyes is the banh xeo. Not all places make it and not well. Safe to say it did not disappoint!! Pho not pictured but the broth was flavorful. I also didn't leave this place smelling like pho, which I appreciated. The workers, probably owners were all so friendly and attentive. Will be back to try the other food! Been eyeing the birds nest kind of dish. Yums!”

“My wife and I stumbled upon La Choza while looking for a way to escape the Labor Day traffic on south bound highway 101. We were just looking for a couple of tacos to tide us over until a larger supper before attending a play at El Teatro Campesino in San Juan Bautista. We found much more than we had expected. The La Choza menu is extensive. I ordered the costillas con nopales, and my wife ordered a huarache. Both were excellent, and the costillas were served with wonderful hand made corn tortillas, which are hard to find any more. I will look forward to returning to La Choza the next time I am in the vicinity of Morgan Hill.”

“Pro: They take credit cards! 😎 This corner shop might not sell 'bento' boxes as stated in their name, but you definitely will find something yummy to eat. The shop does not have a sit down area. Most of the items here are meant to be eaten cold or heat it up at the comfort of your home. You can walk in, grab what is in the fridge, pay, and leave. The owner is very nice and answered all my questions since it is my first time here. Support your local small businesses! Food: I picked Dan Dan Noodles, Beef Combo, Green Bean Jelly, and Pork Intestines (for my hot pot 🤤). You can see the pork intestines are cleaned very well and filled with fat. Most items are priced between $8 -$12 and good portion sizes. I got all 4 dishes under $45 with tax. They also have homemade beef jerky from sweet to spicy and other delicious looking food I haven't explore. I definitely will come back and give it a try!”
