“After staying in Redding, Ca for a day, we decided to stop at Casino prior to hitting the Oregon border. Rain Rock casino had plenty of billboards along the way and thankfully not far off the freeway. Only wanted to stop for the $5 burgers. Arrived around 10am, decided to play for a bit before heading to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant does not open till noon. But I have to say, I enjoyed how clean the casino was and how I walked away happy with an extra hundy in hand. I noticed some construction, I think they will be building a convention center? Part of the Karuk Reservation! (if you’re a history buff) Thanks, can’t wait to visit again!”

“Food here is excellent! Hot, fresh and fast!They just opened today 2-11-23 And the inside is beautiful and clean! Plenty of seating inside the restaurant and easy to get to since it is right off main st. In addition there is ample parking. The smell of the food is amazing and hits you as you walk in the door...made my mouth eater and my stomach growl!! I didn't even realize I was that hungry!! And the taste of the papusas is pure heaven!! The hours are from 8am to 8pm. Definone of the best food spots in Yreka right now! The owners are amazing and have had many years of restaurant experience. Worth the drive from Redding to Yreka!”

“Pleasant, clean cafe with a wide variety of soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Chicken noodle soup had a hearty broth and lots of goodies. The Mexican chicken was rich and wonderfully seasoned. “Stopped in for a lite dinner at the Black Bear Diner in Yreka and what can I say oh my dinner was so good. Ordered a Club Sandwich, wheat bread and not Toasted. Told the waitress, wanted it lite so she suggested to leave the middle slice of bread off. Perfect idea! Side was sweet potato fries. It was oh so good! Totally recommend Black Bear Diner! “I need to put out a disclaimer that I am not from here. I'm from the East Coast. But this is the best Mexican food I've had in the area. Wow, I ordered the street tacos and some nachos and it was literally the best I've ever had. I had to write this review quickly because I couldn't let them go another minute without an additional 5 star review. “They Have been the go to spot for my husband and I for 2 years now! They are ALWAYS so sweet and the food is always delicious! ❤️ They Catered my work Christmas party in Mt.shasta, and was fully prepared and the food was delicious and priced evenly. They are such a nice family to our community (they volunteered to feed our firefighters till LATE night) and always have smiles on their face. Will always recommend them!!! 👌 ❤️”

“I give it 5stars for great food but mostly for the little things for example the side veggies that come with the steaks are actually cooked and seasoned unlike most other places where it’s just a filler no flavor or not cooked. And it’s always different so doesn’t get old. The dinning room was very impressive and very cozy and separate from the bar so you can have romantic date night dinner without getting over powered by bar noise yet join in at the bar for pre-shenanigans afterwards before heading home for the final shenanigan’s 😜”

“First time dining at the Ming Dynasty. The restaurant is filled with bright red lanterns and ancient scenery. The service is great. I just needed more time to look over their menu. Their roasted duck plate caught my eye and I decided to give it a whirl. It took twenty minutes to prepare the meal. The dining room slowly filled with a strong aroma and people began to tremble. I was getting nervous. I didn't know what to expect. The final dish arrived at my table and it was perfectly crafted. Bright red duck pieces were surrounded by green broccoli. A Native American would have been proud. A small side of rice was also included in the meal. The duck itself does have a unique taste. It must be high in myoglobin. The thick, brownish meat was not easy to devour. Wildly different. No, it does not taste like chicken. The thick skin was worthy of saving in a doggie bag though. I wish they gave out fortune cookies.”

“Called in about 20 minutes before breakfast ends because I NEEDED a chicken fried steak and they had this ready for me right as I was getting in. Owe them a review since they had me set up in the most beautiful spot with amazing lighting. Thank you guys! Morning and week all made awesome in a matter of minutes. Not only that but it really is the best chicken fried steak I’ve ever had. Stuffed hash browns, to die for.”
