“The eclectic collection of tasty items on the menu seems a little random, however when you sit down to select items, it makes perfect sense. Menu meant mostly for sharing, and there is plenty for every taste, including vegetarian. Chicken fried oysters are magnificent in both their taste and simplicity. Do not miss any item with duck. If it looks good, it will exceed any expectations. Wine list is not huge, but thoughtfully selected. Good cocktail making skills. We will be here again, and the owners have a few other restaurants.”

“Really great place. Classic sports bar with down-to-earth clientele. This is a place to come to at 8 pm to relax with your bar friends, play some pool, watch The Giants, and drink a Guinness. My friends and I visited for a birthday and we realized we were not the clientele. We are early 20's college students dressed for a night out on the town. While we did not fit in but we really liked the place. It's clearly a relaxing, fun place.”

“First time eater as I went in with a co-worker who had been here before. I ordered an Ortega burger and fries. This is not a fast food place and your order will take a few minutes for it to cook, but it is worth the short wait. Both Burger and fries were very good. It's hard to find crinkle french fries anywhere these days, but this place had them and I enjoyed them. As for the hamburger it was worthy of a billboard picture. And that's the good news. The bad news is this was an expensive lunch. For the aforementioned items plus an iced tea the bill ran me $15 plus. That's almost exactly what Five Guys had charged me for basically the same thing. As good as my lunch was, I think it could have been a little bit cheaper. And I would be remissed not to point out that the inside dining area was filled with smoke from the kitchen and it was actually difficult to breathe in there. Fortunately it was a nice day and we were able to eat outside. Overall I'd say this place is not a bad choice for a good lunch, but due to its prices I recommend you do it infrequently. Edited on 4/10/19 because I was rushed and didn't proofread my previous posting. Hopefully that first paragraph wasn't too off-putting.”
