“I've gone there over the years and they keep increasing their prices of both sodas and their 2-item combo plate. Its gone from like 9-something to now 11-something. Otherwise, their staff are hard working, fast, efficient, and they do really well to handle the large lunch time crowds. If they run out of a menu item due to a rush - they are quick to make more and can quote you an accurate time of when it will be available. Most of the time they bring it to your table. - both of which I appreciate.”

I had Drunken Noodles and I’ve definitely had better, but it was good. Mango and sticky rice was well done. Has a full bar with a decent choice of local craft beers. I realize that I arrived right as my table was ordering food and I took an extra 2 minutes to put my order in but I should not have had to wait an extra 25 minutes for my food. “Late night, 11:30, I staggerd in. You could tell they were getting ready to close. But the night manager was very hospitable and patiently described the menu items to me. That night, although the menu was clearly written in English, as well as Chinese, it all looked Chinese to me. So, I ended up having a standard 2 item plate with Chow l that was perfect in every way. And the vegetables were cooked to perfection as well. Not over done, but crisp and fresh. Flavorfull. Like vegetables should be. Then there was the meat. Cooked just right. You could tell, the portions were measured so there wasn't too much excess. However, the meat was black peppered chicken and it was obviously prepared by someone that knew how to trim the fat, and cook. Overall, Hong Kong Cafe rocks! If you can find it, the cafe is tucked into the rear of the Safeway shopping center on the opposite end from Office Depot. Right off of Poleline Road and Cowell in Davis, California.
