“Good for a quick cup of coffee. A 16 oz cup is $5.30. The owners put in an extra effort and procure lids that are compostable. I hope that the trash from the coffee shop will be sent to a compost heap indeed ;) The patio is nice. I just wish that there would be music on the patio too. The music indoors was quite nice. Parking can be difficult. Extra bonus here: Star loyalty program: Get $5 off when earned 10 Stars Walking distance to el Segundo Public Library.”

“I've heard of this place but haven't tried it until yesterday and I do have to say it was one of the best decisions we've made. I stopped by with my mom yesterday afternoon after we ate lunch to grab a slice of cheesecake. The employee who helped us was very polite and her smile alone made my day better. We got the peanut butter cheesecake slice as well as the mint chocolate. Best cheesecake I have tried since New York and my mom agrees as well. Haven't tried any of their other food yet but I plan on it soon for sure. Thank you guys for opening up , I look forward to eating there again soon.”

“Hands down best place to get breakfast sandwiches 🤤 me and my husband usually get breakfast sandwiches here and our kids always get donut holes. I’ve tried the donut holes and they’re really good too, and my kids always leave they’re bag empty. Oh! And when you buy a sandwich you get 2 donut holes in your bag!”

“Been coming to this place for about 3 years. Its a family business which brings a warm welcome. The owners are really friendly and sweet. Every time I go, we have some nice conversations. Anyways, I usually go for the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich consists of ham, sausage, egg, bacon and cheese all in warm croissant. It’s a really good sandwich. They also have lunch sandwiches that I try here and there. Something that would help with their lunch sandwiches is if they offered pesto in them. That’s just my personal opinion. Great place.”

“Just an OK bagel shop, their bagel seem lighter than most bagels I have had. They do sell drinks like Boba, smoothies, coffee, etc. They also have lots of seating area. I would not go out of my way to eat here, if it is on the way or close to my house I would visit.”

“The Buttery is a lovely little place to visit and enjoy some pastries with coffee, or breakfast. The interior has an antique homey feel to it and although indoor seating is limited, there’s extensive outdoor seating. I had the hot chocolate which was very rich. The pastries were tasty (Marion-berry puff, pumpkin seed muffin, pecan sandie with chocolate on top), they’re not overly sweet which I enjoyed. The french toast breakfast was delicious, they add a lot of berries! The basic breakfast was solid, pretty big portion that can be shared amongst two people. I tried the sausage breakfast sandwich the next day and thought it was very flavorful. They use croissants and they’re so buttery (pun intended)! The sandwich was also very packed with egg and sausage which is good for your buck but I must say, I think less would make the sandwich more balanced - so you can get more of that croissant taste. Staff are very friendly. Shout out to Alex who was very helpful and accommodating. Strongly recommend this spot if you’re visiting!”

“A new addition to the ever growing sawtelle Japan Town. It is Small and cute inside. A perfect flower wall for your Instagram photos. Workers are very friendly. Try the matcha with strawberry mix! The matcha is just perfect. They also have a deep matcha for those who really know the real matcha flavor.”

“Fantastic bakery and great coffee. Got the seasonal berry and cheese danish and it was amazing. Just enough sweet and very flaky pasty. The macchiato they made was also excellent. Everything there looks delicious and I'll definitely be back to try some more.”

“The staff are very friendly and informative. They have a great selection of cheese and other items in their store. The grounds are gorgeous! They have plenty of picnic tables to enjoy a lunch of their yummy grilled cheese sandwiches. I will visit again.”

“Breakfast here is stellar. Their whole menu is Thai-influenced, so their sandwich selection is unique and really filling! They also roast their coffee and make a lot of other things (such as their sausage patties) in-house which I am always impressed by. The espresso I ordered was a lovely dark roast with strong citrus notes, not for the faint or anti-acidic coffee lover, but absolutely perfect for my tastebuds. Service was friendly and the line wasn’t too long. The supervised lot they’re located in has l parking out front, but during peak hours I imagine it would be difficult to get in. I came around 10:30am on a Wednesday and it was mostly empty. Plenty of outlets, tables and seating for those who need to work remote. The music volume is reasonable and they were playing a mix of ambient and light trap when I was waiting for my food&drink. The only criticism I can think of is that their coffee prices are at least a $1.25 higher than other coffee houses. Since they roast in-house I would expect it to be lower due to being able to save on costs? I could be wrong though, I’ve never run a coffee shop so… in any case, definitely worth a repeat or for you to check out en route to work.”

“You can find this place on the second floor in a former Ramen shop. They seem to focus on more Vegan friendly options which is a good thing as non-vegans like us get to explore into other types of recipes. They currently don't do walk-up ordering, which can be annoying to old school people (like me), but using Postmates or Uber Eats is really not that inconvenient. We tried the drip coffee, Ube Cheesecake, Dirty Ube Latte, and Halo-Halo. We enjoyed it all, especially the Halo-Halo which my wife said was good which says ALOT! Can't wait to have a chance to try one of the unique bread pudding desserts in the future.”

“Awesome dining experience. The breakfast was delicious and great service! The waffles were crisp yet soft. comes with whipped cream, bananas and blueberries. The pancakes are fluffy and delicious. Comes with a fruit bowl and Nutella. The eggs Benedict also fantastic! The breakfast potatoes are to die for! It’s a bit on the pricey side but well worth it.”

“This place is such a beautiful place. It just filled me with excitement when I walked. All of the pastries were so beautiful and colorful like jewels. It was hard to stay focused on why I came. To pick up this beautiful cake they made. It's called a "Cherry Blossom" cake. It was so delicious. We had a marble biscuit ( what they call the cake), 2 vanilla biscuits, with chocolate mousse between one, strawberry and cream between the other, and butter cream between the other. My family devoured this cake. We had none to take home.... It was for my Mom's Birthday... She loved! Thank you for making her day extra special. We will definitely be back.”

“Finally got a chance to try this place since it opened and it didn't disappoint! A nice cultural cafe that was definitely needed in Riverbank. Went with my sisters and we all enjoyed some beautiful and delicious lattes and crepes! The service is great and very welcoming. Edgar helped us out so much! Looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu options”

“One of many coffee houses I have tried, but it didn’t stand out. It has standard coffee choices. ☕️ I had an iced mocha with almond milk and it was good. Breakfast sandwich was simple, but tasty. The baristas were very friendly and the atmosphere was comfortable. 🙌The coffee just wasn’t at the level that the baristas are creating the drinks.”

“I don’t know if the staff wasn’t ready to come to work today this place hardly had any donuts available, it was pretty depressing. Luckily, I was just dropping my for an iced coffee and lemonade before a long drive but I was pretty disappointed that I didn’t have many snack options. The staff was friendly and polite but moved at slo-mo Matrix speeds. Note, they had enough staff members to run the place efficiently but some members chose to be lazy or lacked a pep in their step. Several college students and fellow Gen-Zers walked out. I wanted to leave too because we waited a good almost 20 mins but it was late and didn’t want to drive around all over Hollywood for an iced coffee. Some of the older patrons were totally obnoxious so just be warned you may leave with a headache lol.”

“Cute little local spot. We had the burgers and they were fresh and delicious. The fries were really good too. No indoor seating, all outside. But the weather was great, so it didn't matter. It's right on the main road, so great views of Mt. Shasta and the downtown area. It is a little on pricey side, but worth trying out.”

“We stopped at the The Oven Bakery during our Summer road trip from Tigard, OR through Northern California. We stayed in Mount Shasta a couple of days to hike the amazing trails that are nearby. We found the eateries in Mount Shasta to be great overall and the Oven Bakery is no exception! My wife bought the almond croissant and it is phenomenal. It is so light and airy and has an amazing flavor. We are big fans of almond desserts. Definitely give them a try.”

“Great little coffee and breakfast stop. We went on labor day and luckily they were open. But it was crowded, of course. I had a egg, cheese, hashbrown and sausage bagel sandwich and it was delicious!!! They had indoor and outdoor seating. The weather was perfect, so we sat outside. They have teas, pastries and vegan options too. Really pretty and delicious place. Happy we found this little gem.”

“Friendly space with a very nice selection of desserts. They also have sandwiches and I think salads, but I've only gotten the baked goods. Napoleon: excellent execution. Cherry pie and marzipan pie (both individually sized) absolutely fantastic. Moo moo cookie is a big yes. Looks all chocolate, but there's almond flavor coming through too. Give the scones a miss.”
