“I recently had brunch at the Cafe Terrace, and it was a truly delightful experience. The European-style ambience set a relaxed and inviting tone from the moment we walked in. The service was impeccable, with attentive staff who made us feel right at home. The highlight, of course, was the food. Each dish was a culinary delight, bursting with flavor and expertly prepared. From the first sip of coffee to the last bite of dessert, our taste buds were treated to a wonderful journey. Overall, our brunch at Cafe Terrace was a perfect blend of ambiance, service, and delicious food. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a memorable brunch experience.”

“Stopped in for a quick lox bagel and was greeted by friendly staff and an even better bagel! The lox was fresh and the in-house whipped cream cheese was smooth and creamy. I highly recommend getting the lox sandwich with the everything bagel. I’ve had my fair share of bagels in NYC and this House of Bagels has really hit the mark in terms of presentation, freshness, and taste. Everything in the store is well presented and clean, so you can definitely tell management cares and knows how to run a store like this. They also stock other types of items like pizza bagels, croissants, and pastry sticks. 5/5 will return next time when I’m in the area.”

“I was a bit not sure about the flavor of avocado toast since they put a looot of herbs but surprisingly the flavor comes together really well! Matcha latte was good too, my husband really liked the bacon egg sandwich (basic but executed really well, esp the bread and sauce). It’s Bay Area price but the quality is worth it”

“This experience is very close to a perfect five-star rating. As someone who has a lot of experience with food deserts, Arteaga's Food Center positions itself as a blessing appearing in plain clothes. African American communities are famous for "corner stores," but there aren't anything's "storish" about them. The majority of them make money selling alcohol in minority neighborhoods. For the San Jose area, this layout is the blueprint for fighting back against the one-size-fits-all supermarket concept that's failed time-and-time again. With that said, there were only a few things missing from the experience that precluded it from becoming a five star market. First, they didn't have compostable bags. Plastic waste is a fixable problem in the environment, and revoking plastics from the most basic shopping experiences has proven to be a problem people with money aren't willing to solve, but that's a story for another day. In addition, the meat shop doesn't use butcher paper, instead it also uses plastic bags, and I've already mentioned why that's a factor in the 4-star rating. Outside of these two fixable factors, the rest of the store performs its primary function wonderfully. That function is selling high quality foods for an affordable price. The core pillars of a great diet are fresh fruits, vegetables, and meats, with a variety of bread-based products blended throughout the store. The store offers a seasonal selection of demographic specific food that fits the majority of needs customers have in this area. As mentioned, there is a butcher shop as well, which complements the baked goods and authentic pastries. In summary, Arteaga's succeeds where the "Whole Check Foods" model fails, and is a constant reminder they are the ultimate corner stores. I just wish there were as many of these are their were liquor and convenience stores in our neighborhoods. Even though the store is close to where I live. I still pass two of the less quality "traditional" corners stores on the way to get there. As a bonus, they accept E.B.T, and also hand out coupons to subsidize fruit and vegetable purchases when customers use their cards there. Almost perfect...”

“This review is mostly about the taqueria. They make a good burrito. All the meat choices and one of the few places in the area that actually have beef lengua (look it up) on hand every time. Slightly pricey at $12 for a “super” that comes with cheese and guacamole.”

“Great bagel place, they serve quality bagels. We tried everything bagel, one with cream cheese and other with egg & cheese. I must say the bagels were soft and amazing in taste, we also tried cappuccino and their regular coffee and it was good. Their prices are reasonable and the service is quick. They have variety of bakery items but not a single gluten free option. Last, personally I felt that the welcoming nature towards the guests was missing, for someone coming in for the first time, they could suggest some options to try. Although, the bagels were great in taste, definitely coming back.”

“This charming little candy shop nestled in a Los Altos neighborhood are what treasured childhood memories are made of. It's easy to feel as you are a character in children's storybook tale when you are there. The candy and sweets keep the kids coming back. The espressos and cappuccinos will entice the adults to return just one more time, everytime.”

“Just an OK bagel shop, their bagel seem lighter than most bagels I have had. They do sell drinks like Boba, smoothies, coffee, etc. They also have lots of seating area. I would not go out of my way to eat here, if it is on the way or close to my house I would visit.”

“Fantastic bakery and great coffee. Got the seasonal berry and cheese danish and it was amazing. Just enough sweet and very flaky pasty. The macchiato they made was also excellent. Everything there looks delicious and I'll definitely be back to try some more.”

“The customer service was excellent. I got the pastrami club with no tomato on a jalapeno cheese bagel and my partner got a BLT on a sesame bagel. Both of them were so delicious! We were looking for a quick bit while driving to Hollister. This place is quick friendly and they have delicious bagels. Parking is free and there is a parking garage close as well. Thanks for the awesome meal! 💕💕💕”

“It’s been about 5 years since I’ve eaten here. The food is good. But the place is a dump!! Old, outdated, dirty and broken. Water was dripping from a brown opens ceiling tile behind the register. The carpet is filthy. Barely any bakery items behind the case or bread on shelves and I remember seeing beautiful delicious loaves and a lot of goodies. It’s in a sad sad state which means people will frequent less. Spruce up the place, add some umbrellas outside and plants, better lighting inside and appealing product and people will return.”

“I really used to LOVE their bagels & sandwiches, but it seems they've gotten almost all new employee's and since then the sandwiches have become VERY skimpy which is highly disappointing. Also, calling to place an order over the phone is always a nightmare. I usually can't get through to anyone because the phone seems to be disconnected or nobody answers.”
