“It’s very difficult to cook perfect plantains. We were with a group, and everyone enjoyed perfectly cooked plantains. Their authentic, island sourced spices make their dishes second to none. We’ve eaten at other very good Jamaican restaurants , and Spice Island is as authentic, flavorful, and satisfying as any of them. Cocktails compliment perfectly, as well....very tasty.”

“I like the people, the atmosphere, and, the food. I came here as a grown up, and it's the same as when I was a kid. Right around my old spruce st. Neighborhood, where I was raised. The owner, is native, and it's family owned. I love the french toast, and like the menu. The waitresses are friendly, and know, the regulars. There are restrooms, tables and chairs, and a parking lot. Even if it's just coffee, I'm sure your welcomed, but it's called western omelette, for a reason. Five stars, and a favourite, if ever in the neighborhood...”

“Food was fresh. Took a little while to get our food. I ordered what was similar to a crunch wrap and my friend ordered tacos. The tacos came out rather quickly. By the time my friend was done with his tacos is when my food came out. It would've been nice to eat st the same time. The place was nice and clean. They have a topping bar. “What a great concept: A fenced-in play yard for dogs, with a kitchen and bar for the two-legged customers. Beer selection is impressive for a place this small, but the menu is typical bar food, and not that outstanding. But the yard is well maintained by staff, and offers a truly entertaining opportunity to watch dogs running around playing with each other. This is a great place to bring a book or laptop, and let your dog enjoy a play date.”

“I drive by this family restaurant all the time, and finally decided to stop by for brunch. I heard great things about the portions they serve, and I was not disappointed. I ordered from the breakfast menu and it was a delicious meal. The waitresses were very polite and prompt. The place was so crowded that they need to add an extension to their dining area. I plan on visiting this location again very soon with my family.”

“My first dine-in experience was just okay. The food was fine, but they seemed to be short staffed and there was audible conflict between the server and kitchen. The server did apologize several times for the chaotic atmosphere. I've still continued to order take out from here and did dine in again for lunch about a month ago. The restaurant was quiet and everything seemed to be running a lot smoother. The lunch portions are very filling portions, and come with soup, a won ton and egg roll or spring roll. The price really can't be beat for what you get. My chicken was juicy and the pieces were large. Everything tasted fresh and I love moon star because the food is never too oily or tastes of old oil, as I've found with other Chinese places. And my daughter loves the bubble tea. It really is good. Service was fast and super friendly.”

“Great Grilled Chicken Sandwich! I get one just about 6 days a week! However, I have it with regular lettuce (not "Spring..." stuff), tomato ????, and no mustard sauce. Low calories, high protein, and great taste! They only need to make it HOT, though. Much better (and juicier) that way!!”

“My family gets a holiday dessert to enjoy together on Christmas Eve. After the cookie place in the mall closes, we have been searching for something to replace the desserts. It took a trip to a different kneaders to find the wonderful selection they have. Oh, and the sandwiches are good too.”

“Let's start by saying that this is probably the best location. That being said.the food is always fresh and service is always on point. As I have been to this and many other locations and have come to realize if you bring up any problems to the management staff at this location it is handled in a fast and appropriate manner. No matter where I have gone this is one of the few where management handles the problem immediately. As far as any cold or over seasoned food they are more than willing to accommodate you. Yes I have even asked for devil eggs without paprika when they are not out. Not only have they made them they bring them to the table. I can go on and on about how much they care and are willing to help. That being said. I do have one complaint the response from the company to reviews makes it seem like they don't care about the consumer they are so generic. Please take a lesson from your management staff and make this a more personal response. Thank you for staying with me and please before you complain give the management a chance to fix your problem and let them know what you need and want. Again this is one of the best places I have been in a long time.”

“From arrival to departure, we had the best time at Rock Bottom. Amethyst was our waitress on our Wednesday lunch out for two. She provided exceptional service and was able to recite all the ingredients for a particular seasonal item I had enjoyed. Everything we had was delicious, service was great, and we left with a smile on our face. She was tipped $25 dollars on a $50 total because I am not kidding the food was great and the service was exceptional.”

“Rapid Fire Meat! Overall a good experience. The seating was a little slow, several parties waiting even though there were multiple tables open. Once seated our hostess/server was good and attentive. Salad bar was pretty good. Then the meat came.....and came......and came. Had to call mercy a couple times just to catch up to eat what was on my plate. As soon as the “peg” was turned to green.....here comes the meat! Most of the meat was decent, not great, there were about 5 or so meat items that were really good. None that were bad. Wife got the salad bar only and paid for the grilled pineapple and veggies. Only negative feedback were the veggies. She said very plain. Needs some marinade or something before grilling to add some flavor. A little pricey to make a regular stop, but for a special occasion when looking to eat a TON of meat, will be back. Oh- strawberry Brazilian lemonade-AWESOME!”

“The person who took my order was super polite and helpful. The burgers were pretty dang good. The fries on the other hand wellllllll....... they were burnt with old oil and tasted awful and when you spend 14 dollars on 2 large fries you would hope they would be GREAT. For the 70 we spent there I would say it was a 6 out of 10 .(the burgers were pretty dang good) I would though like to say make sure the people making your food refrain from wiping their nose with their wrist/top of hand. That WAS disgusting.”

“I ordered the C2 grilled pork and white rice as well as an order of spring rolls. It was delicious, except the grilled pork was a bit dry. My husband ordered the chicken fried rice and he said it was very good and flavorful. Service was attentive and friendly. It’s in the shopping center with the movie theater so it’s a good location for shopping and entertainment. We will be back.”

“Every time I come here I get great unmatched service. I’ve been coming here since I was 9 years old. I hit my first ball here!!! Sure the course isn’t always in the best condition but its the best value you will find in the Colorado Springs area. My favorite part about this course is the pro shop. I have always brought my clubs here for repairs or fittings. I’m always treated like family here. If your looking for instruction Greg is definitely the way to go every time I get a lesson he’s able to work out my swing and having me hit the ball farther and straighter in no time. “The pizza is alright. Pairs well with a Coors Light, but don't waste your craft beer on a Dominos Deluxe - I said "alright", not "amazing". Friendly staff, and reliably decent quality - it's not hand-tossed, brick oven, specialty pizza - but it serves to fill that need you have for a cheap, filling meal on a Friday night. It's my "go to" when I want a pizza, but don't want to spend $20 for the thing. Would do again.”

“Culver's is a restaurant again that gets it right! The staff is very professional and polite and they keep the tables and restrooms clean. There is a nice variety of comfort food to choose from. You can have fish, spicy chicken sandwich, fries, hamburgers, and chili just to name a few. Plus they have a military discount to boot. The food has been very good to excellent and they have a high rate of getting the order right????.”
