“Flavors were amazing. I had the tempura cactus, squash tacos, and agua fresco. Dog-friendly patio. (See my post about Downtown Grand Junction for more on ambiance. I wouldn’t say that it’s the restaurant’s responsibility though so I’m not including details from the patio experience here.)”

“Overall the meal was quite good. They have a variety of food and drink offerings including fun non-alcoholic drinks like blueberry shrub lemonade and vegetarian options. Generally the ticket prices are a bit high but the food is very high quality. Ones exception was the duck salad. $30 for mostly greens and smoked duck with a very limited smattering of toppings like beets and nuts. I would go here again but would probably avoid the overly expensive salad. Burger was great, pasta was delicious and alternative offerings are very interesting!”

“A very cool place. Food was well prepared and good too. Our plates were full, though there was a lot of cabbage padding. I was a little disappointed that although my dish, Calamari, had mushrooms specifically mentioned, there were only 4 very thin slices of mushroom. All in all a worthwhile experience though. Plenty of food, friendly service and a good atmosphere.”

“Never fails to get get a horrible experience every time I eat here. Frys are never fresh and I can tell because there dark brown in areas like they have been sitting for longer then their hold time. I wouldn't return but my son loves the Double whopper”

“We really enjoyed the shop, food, and coffee. Cannot recommend enough, was our favorite spot during our trip. Can’t wait to come back. We had the chipotle turkey sandwich, and it was enough food my boyfriend and I could have split one instead of getting our own (and we like to eat). The cold brew is great by itself but the honeybee was delicious. My boyfriend recommends the caramel latte, it wasn’t too sweet. Thanks for the great service!”

“MUST HAVE: The Whitefield Mushrooms in Garlic Butter are the best item on the menu! You won't be disappointed. The cranberry creme brulee cheesecake was also a close second- rich creamy texture without being too strong. The cranberries were tart and paired with the cheesecake well. The scallops had great reviews but I was disappointed. There was no crust and the sauce was completely overpowering. The rest was great- Superior service (glasses never got less than half full at any point in the night), the steak melted in your mouth and the sauces were both light and flavorful. The Mac and cheese was surprisingly good and I'd recommend it for both adults and children.”

“Fun place to stop and grab a bite to eat. The staff were friendly, fast and helpful. The food was decent, nothing special but tasty. I would stop in again if I was driving through. They have some local beers as well as imports. I think their specialty is really burgers and sandwiches (unfortunately we didn't order any).”

“This was a pretty neat experience. It started raining at the Grand Junction farmer’s market and we needed a place to duck in and get some food. We decided to go to Las Marias and get some Mexican fare. However, when we got in to the restaurant we noticed the menu was huge and a bunch of the kids started craving American breakfast foods which were on the menu. I laughed at them, thinking that I would not order French toast or pancakes from a Mexican restaurant. However, I was wrong. The food here is plentiful and everything they made was just fine. We were especially impressed by the quantity of food we got, but the quality was good too. It was a little bit on the pricey end of things, but the location is so nice and I recognize they need to pay the rent for the location. Totally worth it if you want to go.”

“Best food I’ve had in a long time! I’m blown away from how good it was. Very filling and delicious. The prices are great and the customer service was outstanding. First time my husband enjoyed something so much he went back to tell them how amazing it was. Definitely will be a regular stop for us now.”

“Kuniko's offers a small casual atmosphere, and excellent food at a good price. Dishes are the traditional Japanese fare, with Sushi, Udon, etc. on the menu. Alcoholic beverages are limited to the three major Japanese beer brands, Coors light, and a selection of wines. Highly recommended if you want a good, solid, satisfying meal.”

“Our family loves coming here. Our kids behave because they like the grassy area outside, the porch seating is amazing. Food was good, the best part was definitely the outdoor patio. We got to enjoy our meal since our kids loved playing around all of the trees.”

“The food was exceptional and authentic. The homemade jalapeno salsa was the best I've ever had. I bought a large cup to take home - it lasted less than a day. Food was delivered at warp speed shortly after ordering. Staff was friendly and helpful. Can't wait to eat there again.”

“This is truly a gem… very friendly staff … very reasonable prices … and amazing food. I had 1 egg 2 bacon strips and 2 pancakes. Bf had French toast. They even asked me how I would like my bacon cooked, 1st ever I was asked that. I think it should always be asked, I hate soggy bacon. They also came around and filled up our coffee, some places it is like pulling thefts to get your coffee filled, not here. When I took my first bit of my pancakes I was shocked, they were the best tasting pancakes I have ever had I know it had vanilla but there is something else in them that made them so AMAZINGLY great. Bf said his French toast had something like it in it’s batter. He really like them a lot … I really really like this hidden gem….”

“Only brisket I've ever had that made me consider it as competition to Franklin's. Stopped by on a cross country trip, sides were cold and we assumed that's how they served them. While eating staff ran up to us with a full box of brisket and pulled pork with a large side of beans apologizing for the cold sides. Owner even checked in on us. Had bbq from Michigan to Texas and everywhere in between, this is as good as any.”

“I used to eat here 30 years ago and have told everyone they had the best biscuits and gravy I have ever had. We returned today and yes, it is still the best I have ever had!!! My wife said that her breakfast was very good as well. The waitress was by herself but provided perfect service and was very friendly. The place looks older but the food is great!!!”

“If you are lucky enough to be served by waiter Jordan you will be blessed! Management he deserves a raise! Its been a long time I've experienced such attentiveness, and seen such a hard worker. I didn't say I need more water he noticed and brought it. Jordan was courteous and friendly and very attentive to all the patrons. He was the best part of our experience at Rib City. His recommendations were spot on and when we go back I am asking to be served by Jordan. Food was great! Service and overall experience excellent. Carrot cake is awesome and home made. Get some Rib City.”

“We haven't been here for about a year due to inconsistencies each time we visited. We noticed tonight on Google that there were new owners so we decided to give it a try. The meal was delicious. We had the porterhouse steak which was cooked perfectly rare as we requested. The old fashioned was done perfectly and the margarita was great as well. Our server, Alexia, was very attentive and service was prompt.”

“This was a great stop! It was recommended to us by a previous local so we checked it out when passing through. The crust had a nice chew to it and the topping choices were great. They also have board games to play while waiting for your one of a kind creation to arrive. Loved it.”

“Excellent find! Driving across country and stopped in Fruita for lunch. The food was great, portions plentiful, prices were more than fair and service was fabulous. The chips were warm and the salsa was delicious. We were greeted with friendly and exuberant smiles. Great extensive menu and quite reasonable prices. I really thought I would order the sopapillas for dessert but couldn't eat another bite. Ample parking and a clean establishment. Definitely recommend a meal here if you're interested in a Mexican meal. Every staff member offered a smile and was personable.”

“Well damn, best, menudo north of the border I've had!! I applaud you! Great! Warm atmosphere and friendly service. Thank you very much! Went in to check it out. It's a nice sit down restaurant for family. I was really looking to get food to go, offered me a table, some chips and salsa and a beer. I proceeded to order food for my family. I left very happy. Family was amazed by the quality deliciousness of the food. We live pretty close so it was still warm when I got home. Can only imagine how wonderful it is at a table there! Definitely taking the family for dinner soon!”
