Smoke & Mirrors Rooftop

Beautiful bar/restaurant located atop the newly opened AC Marriott hotel. I live next door and was excited to finally have a nice bar on the "north side" of Navy Yard. Staff were all very friendly, and it was quite busy on a Saturday at 4pm after being opened just a couple days.

Gorgeous views of the city and a large outdoor space with retractable roof. Drink prices are on the pricey side but in line with other higher end cocktail bars in the city. My only complaint is the food menu- it is I think absurdly expensive. We got the crab dip (which was delicious) but it was
$25. It comes with a delicious pretzel but too small for how much crab dip there was so we asked for another pretzel ($4) so nearly $30 for a dip. Other appetizer type dishes were similarly priced. It would be nice to have a few snack options that weren't so pricey.

The place was pretty amazing. From the hotel staff to all of the team at the restaurant, everyone was very welcoming and super friendly. So now, let's get into this food. I ordered the bacon-wrapped chicken breast, which tastes great and large portion size. It also comes with a side pasta of some sort. The views and ambiance of soft music with firepits overlooking the capitol is an excellent wine-down atmosphere. David and Ted, both hotel and rooftop bar managers, have made the experience great.
I look forward to seeing how this place will be when the weather breaks in the summer.

I went to the soft opening of Smoke & Mirrors and was blown away!!!! The views and ambiance are UNMATCHED in Navy Yard. This will most definitely be my go-to bar. The food and drinks were top tier. I had the Diver Scallops (amazing), the Macalllan cocktail and the Espresso Martini. I even love the instrumentals of 90s Hip Hop playing in the back....it just made the overall experience exquisite. David, the restaurant manager, was AMAZING as well. He is so sweet and so kind. Smoke & Mirrors - you have a regular on your hands now :)

Was able to go to the opening, and wow!! First off, the design and features throughout the roof are stunning. Not to mention the views! There is a variety to choose from on the drink menu, highly recommend the Smoked Old Fashion. The presentation of the drink is so Instagram-able! The food is also really good, excited to try the full menu.

Big shout out the the staff! Ted (AC Hotel), David, and all the servers/bartenders are amazing!

I cannot wait to come back! The rooftop space is going to be a hot spot come Spring/Summer!!
