“Flouthern catered a friend's party. Their jerk pork belly was the best bbq I have ever tasted. It was flavorful and had a deep smoke ring. It melted in my mouth. The side dishes were very good. My favorite was the collard greens. They were in a sauce that was tangy and spicy. Much different than the collard greens I am used to and what is served at most soul food restaurants. They are a food truck but I haven't seen them around town. If I hadn't attended the party I wouldn't have known they existed.”

“Pretty good donuts. My friend liked them and I am still on the search. They were fresh made for sure which is almost never available anymore so give them a try. “These doughnuts are not what I thought, they're better! At first the price point was off putting but then I bit into one. The doughnuts are almost like a meal, they aren't like the ones from the store. I ate half of one and was full (this is coming from someone who can put down a whole box of publix 6 glazed doughnuts in a sitting). I enjoy the cute holiday themed doughnuts and was a pleasure to let my little ones pick out their own. I'll be going back to try their lunch/breakfast menu.”

“This hole in a wall bakery is one of the best representations of Latin American baking in Gainesville. I bought 1 of everything on the front displays for my wife's birthday. Despite a slight language barrier, the owners are extremely welcoming and will do their best to bridge that gap with you. They serve a variety of sweet, savory, and mixed of both. They also have a hot menu. And the price is on point with everything! Their bakes are light and airy. The desserts are well balanced. The chocolate cake is perfectly layered and not overpowering. And for someone who isnt into sweets, this is its the perfect amount of sweet. This place is great for a quick dessert, lunch from their hot menu, or just want to bring back home a nice homemade loaf of bread for later. They are well deserving the 5 stars, if not more, and your taste buds. Make sure you ask for the sauces for your savory order, 100% worth it.”

“Very friendly staff. Cool little hangout. Seems to be popular with the younger crowd 18-25ish ???? either way it was tasty. Great portion for the price. Lots of great reviews on the individual dishes. I had the bowl with shredded beef and habanero mango sauce. The sauce was not that spicy but flavorful. The bowl itself was pretty heavy. Could have used some acid maybe a squirt if lemon or lime before serving it along some lettuce to lighten it up a bit. Otherwise I'd go back and maybe try some of their pastries next.”

“Very happy with this location on one of the busiest days of the year I’m sure (Buy 1 dozen, get the second dozen for $1). Employees seemed so frazzled but handled it extremely well! Even though the line was out the door and nobody could even enter the store, I only spent a maximum of 10 minutes there! Doughnuts were fabulous and fresh, super happy with the customer service! “I am from Long Island, NY, and I remember back in the 80's going and getting an egg sandwich that was made with fresh eggs, to order- plus bacon, and cheese. At Dave's NY Deli, they use ready made egg patties. When I asked if I could get a fresh egg, scrambled, I seen an eye-roll from the cook. Guess not. The sandwich was good, but I do not think I would go back for their breakfast sandwiches.”
