“I am from Long Island, NY, and I remember back in the 80's going and getting an egg sandwich that was made with fresh eggs, to order- plus bacon, and cheese. At Dave's NY Deli, they use ready made egg patties. When I asked if I could get a fresh egg, scrambled, I seen an eye-roll from the cook. Guess not. The sandwich was good, but I do not think I would go back for their breakfast sandwiches.”

What they didn't tell me was that they have more than just Cuban - they make arepas almost as good as my Mom does from Venezuela! “Enjoyed the food here on a slow Monday night. I ordered the spicy tuna tower with avocado and roe. It was delicious. On a tip from a friend, I asked for them to go light on the sauce, and I was glad I did - otherwise I might not have been able to taste the tuna. (It comes marinated and then served with additional spicy mayo and eel sauce on top, I had them leave the extra sauces off.) Prices are a little on the high side for Gainesville, but the food was good and I'll be back.”

“The cashier was rude and not friendly. The state of the tables was dirty. The drink station was sticky. The manager was polite and trying to get things fixed but he was busy. Then the cashier tried to refuse my order, manager got into them. Then cashier tried to charge me more. Then the cashier made me wait until everyone behind me had their order taken and completed and then they finally got my cheeseburgers only together. Good help is hard to find. I hope they find better help.”
