“I must give this place all five stars. The food is awesome. I ordered KFC Bop. Just the right amount of spicy. Many textures when you bite into it. Crunchy soft with tender white meat. The owner is friendly and attentive. He is opening a new location in Mandarin sometime in August. The restaurant is nice, good for lunch break or a good place for a date. The menu is different from no other. Very creative food. This is a must try. A hidden gem this place.”

“Chow’s Country Buffet recently opened in a renovated Golden Corral. As the name suggests, the buffet serves a mix of Asian dishes and country fare. We decided to give them a try for the lunch buffet. I have to say, they have one of the larger selection and varieties of foods at a buffet that I have seen in a long time. There is a dessert station, a fried food section, a section with grilled meats and more. The buffet was constantly replenished by the staff, and the restaurant was fairly busy during this day. Service was also friendly. Some of the items we liked were the fried chicken, the coconut shrimp, the butterfly shrimp, pot roast and orange chicken. We liked that for the ice cream, it was available in single serve containers rather than people having to scoop it themselves out of a big bin. The cakes and pies were not homemade, but honestly for the price point, you can’t really expect freshly baked desserts. I think the dessert options were still good for what you are paying. Overall, I think this is a great option if you are wanting to go to a buffet. There is a large selection ranging from pizza, to fried chicken, to Asian dishes, all for a good price. At the time of our visit, the lunch buffet was around 11.99 for adults and 10.99 for seniors and military. Dinner prices are higher, but we’ll come back another time to give it a try.”

“I heard about this place opening and I've been excited that we are getting an Italian place in the area. I stopped by for their opening week. The place is very clean and the staff are excellent. I was impressed by the number of dishes they have on the buffet. There were eight different dishes the day I went. Everything was good. I really enjoyed the tortellini. It tasted like it had a garlic cream sauce. The only drawback was that the chicken in the Chicken Alfredo was a bit dry. Pros: * Excellent service * Salad and pizza were brought to the table * Great selection of items to choose from and they were all fresh * Price - cheaper than other buffets in the area I would have given the place five stars if the chicken hadn't been dry. I will be back. It's great to have an Italian place in the neighborhood.”

“A hidden gem in Jax. An entire meal plate that transports you back to that one home where a home cooked meal tasted like a true labor of love from a food truck. The food is truly amazing. I had a carne asada dinner plate with rice, black refried beans, a half slice of avocado, 4 corn tortillas, and pico de gallo. Carne asada is full of flavors and tender. Cost $15 which is well worth it. I also tried their bowl of Menudo that come with a side of the norm trimmings. It was out of this world. It was pricier costing $20. A large refreshing and delicious horchata at around a few $. I have heard others order tacos, flautas, and roasted chicken dinner plates over the phone for pick-up. Other protein options are grilled fish, pork chops, and chicken breast a la plancha. Soups like menudos, carne de res or pollo (beef/chicken) stew with sides on Saturday’s only. The outdoor seating is well built and landscaping well designed. It really distracts from the fact that you are in the back area of a business with a motel on the other side. Entrance to La Popular Spanish grocery door in same space. You can buy Mexican bottle cokes, Jarritos, and so much more. The only negative here is the lack of an actual menu, written or as pictures, to describe what they offer, or their pricing. They are primarily Spanish speaking, speaks some English, but may prevent non-Spanish speakers from trying this place out. I highly recommend visiting this hidden gem in Jax!”

“My experience was amazing. I love to eat Jamaican food and it's not too many places I would give 5 stars. I was visiting my bestie and she wanted tlme to try this place since she's a regular and knows the co-owner. We pulled in the parking area and there's a man grilling all sorts of meat. The aroma of the seasonings filled my anticipation of the food. The menu options was hard for me to decide so I ordered curry chicken, brown stewed chicken, sampled jerk chicken, meat and a vegetable patty. I was not disappointed. I will be back in March for a tournament and my bestie and I will definitely be back. The prices are very reasonable as well. A must go to place.”

“Great addition to Jacksonville and the community! Phillip and Aiden are extremely nice and a lovely father and son duo. You can really taste the care that they put into their crust, which is fundamental to their pizzas. The bus is one of the most unique pizzerias I've ever visited and it was impeccably clean. This is a great little place to share a pie and, if they're not too busy, they might just give you a wonderful little tour. The ambrosia they offer is something you won't find anywhere else and I recommend the experience as one of the more interesting stops in Jacksonville.”

“My dad and I went for lunch while in Jacksonville. I predominantly eat ethnic food and when I saw this place was near the dealership I was getting my car serviced at I knew this was the spot. I had the lengua burrito, the chorizo, tripe, and carne asada tacos. My dad had the chorizo torta. They give you a lot so much that I had to take a bunch home. The food is very flavorful and tasty. Next time when we are in the area we will be back.”
