Goblin Market Restaurant

A landmark restaurant that has been serving delicious food in Mt Dora for many years. We had the lamb burger and a salmon plate with fresh salads that were seasoned wonderfully. A nice atmosphere with friendly waiters. A bit pricey, but you get what you pay for!

Food excellent, service good. I had rib eye steak, mashed potatoes, veggies. Meat cooked a bit more than med. Rare. Delicious though. Server did not refill water or offer...not available to request beverage. Ambience terrific.

The Bacon Grilled Cheese was awesome, and Goblin Market has yummy battered fries. Our wait staff was courteous, knowledgeable, and very attentive. The decor is eclectic and beautiful. There is seating outside, inside, and upstairs near the bar. Speaking of the bar, the Mules are yummy, and they make a good Maker's Mark and Coke.

Mount Dora's hidden culinary gem is the Goblin Market. The Strawberry Salmon Salad has a great flavor combination with the blackened salmon pairing well with the chunks of strawberry - yum! My lovely bride enjoyed the Turkey Croissant, there's bacon in it after all! But the croissant was flaky and wonderfully flavorful.

Each of our friends had a similar experience. The service was great - unobtrusive, but available. The atmosphere was perfectly conducive for engaging conversations.

Really enjoyed this gem in Mt. Dora and will gladly return for lunch or dinner. The atmosphere is wonderfully charming. Sometimes restaurants that are "homey" are not at all appealing to me but this one definitely is very appealing. The menu is full of good options from soup to salad to sandwiches to substantial meals. Service was friendly and prompt. Believe the reviews and enjoy your meal here!
