“We can't stop talking about the amazing Seawich. Blackened snapper and shrimp with bacon, lettuce, tomato and jalapeño mayo on a bun with your choice of chips or cold slaw. It was $20 which included tax. I'm still craving another one! They told me the Cuban was the most popular. E weren't really hungry but wanted to try some food from the truck. It was located at the Tiki Bar which is the best place to see the sunset in Cedar Key. Make sure to get a sandwich here. It was amazing!”

“Goodness, this was a tiny place with BIG taste and friendly team. LOVED 😍 it. Had an Iced Carmel Macchiato that was so flavorful. AND The Famous Egg Sandwich with feta and spinach on a Croissant that was just FANTASTIC!!! I highly recommend this lovely little business for a great treat. This experience was so pleasant and a positive beginning to the day for me.”

“I sat at the bar, solo, and had great service from two very attentive staff. The clam chowder which I had read about was as good as described. It's not New England so don't come expecting that but the flavor was outstanding. Also had the bowl of clams and they were very tasty prepared in a white wine sauce. I would definitely recommend if you find yourself in Cedar Key.”

“Food was great we had some appetizers and drinks outside great view just needs a little more atmosphere and some updating. Staff is very friendly also this place is dog friendly they even have a menu for your fur baby. The problem is when you walk in they have fans everywhere and portable air conditioners everywhere very hard to hear inside. This isn't just a one-day thing that happened. I think they should fix the air conditioning it would really help the atmosphere out.”

“Nothing fancy, as it should be when you're surrounded by marsh, mud and water. Surrounded by windows, hence the name, it's almost open air dining. Without fancy or flair, Big Deck is the perfect spot for a burger and a cold beverage. The service is friendly and casual and the prices won't destroy your wallet. If you can't relax here, you probably can't relax anywhere. Even the cat is laid back.”

“Stopped by on Labor day right at opening time and we ordered the crab cakes and a side order of fries. The wait was a little long, but the view and atmosphere of this place made it well worth it. Great view of the gulf and the boat ramp follies. Could even see the Crystal River powerplant. Our orders came with a fresh garden leafy salad with goodies in it and a dish of coleslaw both of which were tasty. Fries were good and hot but a little salty. Although the crab cakes could have been a little more "meaty", they were very good. The waitress and the rest of the staff were courteous and attentive and we really enjoyed our visit here. This restuarant is bright, airy and clean and the bathroom is impeccable. For around $50 + a $10 tip we left happy and bellies full. Highly recommend 83 West as a go to relaxing place to eat versus the two other "restaurants" we walked out of. See you again soon.....”

“This family run cafe definitely has the small town charm. The outdoor seating is beautiful and pleasant. Our server was prompt and friendly. The standouts were the sweet potato waffle fries and homemade ranch dressing- delicious! The only disappointment was that none of the waitstaff were wearing masks. Otherwise it was a very enjoyable experience.”

“This was BY FAR the BEST restaurant on the island! There was only one other restaurant on the island we didn't get to try (on our anniversary weekend). But we had higher bills @ other locations that were NOT as great of quality! This restaurant is the cleanest/nicest, most professionally staffed & excellent food/dining experience!! I had a seafood pasta & my husband had the lamb. Both were prepared to perfection! We also had key lime tart & a bread pudding for dessert that were equally exquisite. This is the one restaurant I will tell everyone going through Cedar Key that they MUST have!!”

“Food was awesome, location atmosphere was on point. It was exactly what we were looking for when we set out on the day trip. The restaurant was out of a few stock items that day, as it was their last day of service before taking a well deserved few weeks break. Service was a bit more lax than I prefer, however, the staff was friendly and accommodating enough when anything was asked for. I look forward to our next visit.”
