“My brothers and I stopped in for an evening meal. We had been playing golf all day and just wanted a time to chill, reflect on our day and enjoy a decent meal. We ordered cheese burgers and all three of us agreed they were some of the best burgers we had ever eaten. Angela, the manager greeted us and created a pleasant experience. She explained the history of The Manor House and even showed us around the historic grounds. Our waitress, Jessica, who was also a bartender was one of the most pleasant wait staff I have ever encountered. When we arrived at the restaurant they were crowded, but we enjoyed ourselves so much we hung around and had great interaction with much of the staff. FANTASTIC evening.”

“I’d give it 2 and a half stars if I could, keep that in mind as you read. I ordered the chicken Alfredo pizza. The pizza, overall, was alright. Not bad, but it definitely needed a few more minutes in the over for a nice crispy texture. The Alfredo sauce was pretty bland and the chicken was slightly dry. Needs a Gordon Ramsay ‘Kitchen Nightmares’ makeover: the menus, aesthetic, and bathroom badly need updating. There’s a musty stench in the air that is quite unappealing, I believe it came from the bathroom but it permeated the entire restaurant. Our waitress was nice and attentive but this place is definitely not the “must stop” others claimed it to be.”

The staff is excellent and the food is cheap and tastes like you grandmother made it...with love! These folks are part of our community and I'm thankful for them. “The service was a little slow especially for a Saturday during lunch. The food was excellent. I had a Burrito Supreme and the ground beef was seasoned perfectly. The rice and beans were both very tasty and I usually don't eat Mexican rice but this was soft and delicious. They also have a little place inside to purchase pottery items. They are fairly reasonable priced and quite decorative. I definitely recommend even though the service was less than perfect.”

“I took myself to dinner here tonight and I had the best evening with Amy as an awesome hostess/waitress. I had the best ever friend plantains and jerk chicken. The restaurant is beautiful inside. “Wow! Just got done eating at Grumpy's in Madison. It was a delight. I had the Awesome Burger with sweet potato fries which were delicious. My husband had the Grumpy Burger with regular fries. All were great. THEN we finished with their Banana and Carmel Pie!! That topped off a great lunch at a local lunch place where the waitresses know their customers and their regular orders. Only downside, they close at 3 pm”

“Great experience today in Live Oak~ and super thankful I got there before they sold out! They were super nice about customization of my Strawberry Waffle. (I did not want the sauce or syrup). The berries were fresh and very good. The Waffle, the obvious star of the show was perfectly golden, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They're made to order so prepare to wait. It will be worth it! Looking forward to your return to Live Oak.”
