“Roughstock Grill was a happy surprise of yummy food and decent service. First impression was of a very friendly server, who has a similar look to a young John Travolta. With jet black hair and backwards ball cap, this young man was a tad overly friendly sitting at our booth, but his charming smile, demeanor and prompt service quickly erased the awkwardness of him sitting at our booth to “take a break for a minute”. 😂😁 We tried the onion petals, nightly special of fish tacos and shrimp and grits. The blackened shrimp tacos were tasty. The coleslaw on it was delicious slightly sweet, appropriately savory. Clearly the chef has no problem with seasonings which is a refreshing change from the made for the masses bland food. Unfortunately they were drowned in sauce which took away from that good fresh taste and perfect coleslaw crunch. Still worth ordering again just ask for less sauce. The shrimp and grits were the best I’ve ever had! A perfect combination of creamy yummy grits with balanced seasoned shrimp. I can’t wait to return just for this dish! The sides of red beans and rice and jambalaya were well seasoned but a tad dry. I’d probably opt for different sides next time. Overall we were very satisfied with our first visit to Roughstocks grill. We’ll definitely be back and we encourage others to give them a try to support our small town businesses!”

“April 2024 Enjoyed so we went back. We both ordered the 1/4 Chicken legs, cooked to perfection, fresh warm bread, salad, potato salad, cauliflower. Waiter was attentive and friendly. Food was great. Atmosphere is pretty, but a little louder during peak times. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED February 2024 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Arrived just before the evening rush. Seated promptly and looked over the new menu. It's now both Mediterranean foods and great selection appetizers, foods, desserts. Wine selection from Portugal were divine and paired well with my Lamb chops cooked to perfection served on bed of Portuguese rice. Salmon dinner and cauliflower also cooked to perfection, ordered side salad delicious with homemade dressing. I had to take my Chocolate cake home, it was so rich and thick dark chocolate and a wonderful ending to the meals.”

“Some of the best barbecue/ soul food I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing in my life time living in north central Florida. The gentleman at the counter was about 12 years old but he was extremely knowledgeable with his recommendations of the menu. And gave me the exact change perfectly. I tried the pulled pork sandwich and it was IMPECCABLE!!!! The fried green tomatoes were cooked to perfection. I will warn you that there isn’t really somwhere to eat inside the restaurant- but they can direct you to the nearest parks to enjoy your meal. And enjoy the meal we did. I will certainly be back next time I’m down in the area!!! Wonderful dining experience”

“I had the pleasure of discovering this hidden gem, just outside the American Legion Post #58. "Susy's Latin Food" is a great spot to grab some authentic Latin foods, sandwiches and fruit shakes. It's ran by a very nice couple. The food and service was amazing! I had a BC ROLL and 1 of each chicken and beef Empanadas-All for just $10!!👌👀😋. Its very nice to be able to get some great food for great prices. You must check it out!!”

“Absolutely phenomenal. Blows any other fast food joint out the water. I ordered the 2/3 monster thick burger. It was so juicy it was seeping through the paper wrap they served it in to hold the burger. When squeezed cheese and grease started oozing from the burger. I was satisfied before I even took one bite. Inside is extremely clean. Sweet tea was definitely southern. Love Hardee's. Keep up the good work”

“I called ahead this afternoon for a 6 o'clock reservation for Jay. The greeter (an older lady with glasses and no teeth) was rude on the phone and even worse when we walked in the door. (Maybe washing dishes or taking out the trash would be a more suitable position for her.) I was tempted to leave and take my family elsewhere but we overlooked her attitude and stayed anyway. Our waitress was friendly and the kitchen staff did great. The food was good and the atmosphere was pleasant. This could've been a 5 star experience but when I plan to spend $140 on dinner we should be greeted with respect and a friendly smile.”

“Delicious fried chicken and beef oxtail! Sweet potatoes and peas yummy. Savory corn bread not my favorite, a little dry. A lot of liquid on my plate and it made my chicken slightly soggy where it touched. But will definitely be back for another meal!!
