“I like this place. They have a good menu and I have yet to get something unsatisfactory. It is what it it. It is frozen food cooked to order. Burgers, deep fried fare (fish,chicken,fries, onion rings) and soft drinks, all at a very reasonable price. The owners are soft spoken and very kind people. “Today January 4, 2018, was my first time eating at, The Spot Cafe in Saint Augustine FL. A wonderful way to start the new year. My waitress, Miss Pat, was fabulous and went above and beyond to please me, with a personality that was divine. I had breakfast, eggs, home fries, rye toast and coffee, which was prepared perfect, and tasted wonderful. As it was nearing lunch and I was still a little hungry, I also had a side of FF, which were made to perfection. I shall definitely be returning often to also be trying their lunch and dinners. I recommend highly eating at, The Spot Cafe in Saint Augustine FL.”

“This was by far a highlight of going to St Augustine for me. The food was incredible very fresh. I had ordered the gator tail bites and vanilla grouper and for dessert I had gotten the chocolate cake. The gator tail bites was very good and crispy came extremely quick after ordering and the dipping sauce was very complementary to the bites. Then the grouper it was very fresh however I wasn't to much a fan of the vanilla sauce. It to me was kinda bland and ruined the flat of the fish. Then the chocolate dessert. If you like chocolate and rich sweet chocolate you’ll love this dessert. It is hard to find a rich chocolate slice of cake at a restaurant but this was definitely worth trying and I'm glad I did. Please be aware you will be waiting if you are trying to sit outside on the patio area. When we arrived they told us we were looking at an hour and a half or we could sit inside and wait only 35 min. We chose to sit inside of course and the waiting didn't seem that long to be honest and I feel sitting inside was the better option anyways. They have a bunch of seating so you won't have to worry about feeling clustered together. If you are in a rush I suggest getting here asap so your wait isn't long. They do not take reservations so be aware of that. This is a great date night spot or just a great place to eat with friends or family. The view here cannot be beat and I highly recommend you visit here service is great and the view is beyond belief.”

“I give three stars because the food was delicious and fresh! However I am feeling the effects of it today. I woke up with a stomach ache outta this world and my boyfriend woke up throwing up and unable to get off the toilet. I went to work and I too begun experiencing the same symptoms and wound up having to go home early. This is my first time eating at this location and will unfortunately be my last. We love papa johns however we will just stick with the one on Ponce De Leon. Not sure if its contaminated or what but I'm going to steer clear to be safe.”

“I'm not sure what to make of the mixed reviews on this place. I've never personally dined in here, so I can't speak on the staff, but we get takeout all the time and the food is always good. Is it the best cuisine I've ever had? No, but it is good food and I enjoy eating it. I always order the shrimp fried rice and pork gyoza. I've always enjoyed it and would certainly recommend it to friends.”

“Excellent service and attention to details in the order. Chinese carry out style food done well. They also deliver which is a huge plus. UPDATE: I took two stars off because the last few orders have just been too salty. When you ask for spicy you get salty. When you ask for not spicy, you get salty. “I NEVER leave reviews. If I did it would be because something was awful, or great! This restaurant had almost 5 stars, but as I began reading reviews I was worried. We stayed at the hotel right beside it and assumed it was too convenient to be good. Some reviews were iffy and this made us a bit skeptical. We decided to go because of convenience and it was getting late. We (a party of 9) could not be more pleased with the quality of food, the taste, the service, everything! We are regular seafood eaters and are from the coastal area. This restaurant was beyond what we expected! Super yummy and definitely recommended!”
