“Different !!! I walked in and thought I was in a grocery store, then saw some tables up front (see photo). Authentic? Maybe! I’m used to TexMex, so I didn’t really like it. The waitress was very sweet but barely understood English. The chicken enchiladas were literally shredded chicken rolled in a flour tortillas. Any extra ingredients were a light garnish on top. A layer of tomato paste (almost made it taste Italian), then very light garnish of onions, etc. The rice was average, and I don’t like beans so no eval there (see photo). The 7UP bottle was not English label, kinda cool (see photo). Beef tacos to go, similar issues. Just beef, with a little bit of green stuff I thought was Cilantro but it didn’t have any real flavor. (Cilantro would have really helped). Beef and a few green leafy parsley?, but no lettuce no tomatoes, no cheese in the tacos. A little bit of cheese on the beans, looked like Parmesan but wasn’t, not much flavor. Side salsas in squeeze bottles had some spice. As I said, DIFFERENT ! Interesting but I personally wouldn’t go back.”

“With limited dining options in the area, this is a good stop for Mexican food. Food was decent. Music is loud; the servers chatter and laughter is louder. Very similar to most other Mexican restaurants. The inside is clean with plenty of seating and full bar. You can also eat outside in the patio area.”

“Wow, it’s been a while since I have been to a Waffle House and I am glad I went to this one. The staff was amazing ! So kind and hospitable. When you think southern hospitality Kathy is exemplifies it. Our food was so delicious. The waffles were tasty the patty melts were amazing. Just an amazing experience at this Waffle House. To give some perspective I tried to go eat here for breakfast and lunch and it was so packed I couldn’t even find a place to park. I see why this place is awesome !!”

“Incredibly friendly service and absolutely DELICIOUS! I had the Turkey Bacon Swiss and I just can’t say enough about how good it was. Quality meats, generously served on a delicious, fresh, buttery brioche bun, and made with great care. I also ordered a fresh-made strawberry/banana smoothie, made with real fruit, almond milk and LOCAL honey! Yum! I highly recommend it! Comfortable seating, spacious and well-lit. Defuniak Springs is lucky to have such a convenient place to get a great sandwich! I’d confidently say that the name checks! Will return!”

The presentation was beautiful and the food was cooked to order and hot. I can only give 5 stars, yet they deserve 10!! “We had a wonderful first experience at Ambrosia 30A! Prices are reasonable, food was amazing, ambiance and decor are beautiful! The management stopped by and introduced themselves and made sure we were having a memorable experience. The best part was the staff! Everyone including the hosts, bussers, servers and management were extremely friendly and always had a smile for you! Isaiah was our waiter and he was phenomenal!!! His recommendations from the wine paring to the desserts were outstanding and delicious! He was happy, fun, personable and professional! He answered all of our many questions without any hesitation! And lastly, I love the fact that I can order a glass of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon (my fav) and don’t have to commit to a full bottle as the rest of my party does not drink red wine. “This little place is a couple miles from the Florida High Point at Lakewood Park and is hands down the best in the area! Very friendly service. Menu is small, but what they have is top notch! Regardless of whether you get pork, brisket, or sausage, you'll definitely want the baked beans as your side. They have a delicious smoky taste that will make you want more. Can eat at the small dining area inside, at the picnic table just outside, or take it back to the FL High Point for a picnic lunch. Will definitely stop next time I'm in the area!”

“4⭐️- will definitely be back we didn’t know what to expect since we are in the 30A area and most places seem to be overpriced and touristy. This place was simply awesome. The service, atmosphere, food were great. We had a little bit of everything and loved everyone bite of it. The fish used in the salmon poke and spicy tuna roll were really fresh, short ribs were good, the grilled octopus was tender and seasoned well. Maybe the limited sushi roll choices (they didn’t have any salmon rolls that wasn’t smoked) and slightly over cooked seared tuna made me hesitate to give it a full five stars. But don’t let that stop you…definitely worth it.”
