“So much love for this place!! It's a little pricey but you definitely get the quality that you pay for. The bulgogi beef and soy pork/chicken are the go-to meat options. The wait staff is always exceptional in cheerfully helping with any and all service, whether its sauce, rice or drink refills or even help in cooking/cutting the meats if you prefer it. Best for groups of three or four for regular booths. They have lunch/dinner prices listed on the menu but also be sure to count an extra $2 or so for drink since it's not included in the lunch/dinner price! Not a big deal, it's just nice to know to expect it beforehand. Absolutely no complaints. Exception staff, exceptional food.”

“Decided to give this place a try after driving by so often and I'm glad I did! The menu has a wide variety that is sure to have something for everyone. I got the scallion pancake as an appetizer and it was not only good but an amazing visual! I also got a special called grandma's noodles and let me say, I wish I had that grandma and her noodle recipe in my life! The atmosphere is very unique and cool and the staff is super friendly and very attentive! My waitress greeted us with a smile and took amazing care of us. Her good mood was infectious! She also had a great sense of humor and made the experience. I will be making many more visits to this place in the future.”

“It's almost five stars; I give those out very seldom, and this place has a huge menu. The decor is very nice for a strip mall, and we have always had quick friendly service. I admit we have not tried it during peak busy hours. Everything we have tried there is good. I would like to try more of the appetizers I particularly like the egg rolls with the thin, crispy wrapper. The grilled short rib appetizer is good, but a little salty. The Pho is very good, the curry is good, the fat fried noodles are good. Been there three times and will return.”

“I visited on Jan 4, 2020 & my experience sitting at the bar with Marina was WONDERFUL. She greeted me right away. She repeated my order & asked the right questions to make sure I was getting what I wanted. She periodically checked on me as I enjoyed my meal without be overbearing & offered me dessert before I left. As a GM for another restaurant, this is the kind of service I would like to see with my own staff & expect as a guest. This was especially refreshing because I had one of the most horrible experiences at the Camp Creek location just a few days prior. Great job!”

“The food was fresh and hot and was cooked to perfection. Our server John was an absolute perfect server. We never had to ask for refills he was there doing it before we knew. They were very busy but the place was clean and buffet never had an empty pan. Plus they had my personal favorite candy next to the ice cream bar ???? orange slices ????also the had 4 different kinds of ice cream besides the machine that has the usual choc and van and mixed. Yes I would definitely recommend.”

“This is my second consecutive five star review of On the Border. I don't come to Barrett Parkway often but if I do, I don't dine anywhere else. This time I had a bartender who has never served me. She was not only very cute but also very attentive as she offered me refills on both of my beers when there was one third left in each glass. My food came out perfect and hot. I had the double stack club quesadilla which I know is not on the menu anymore but it's hard to mess up bacon, chicken and melted cheese. The bartender's name is Kayla and I appreciate the good service as well as a bright smile. 5 stars as usual.”

“We couldn't decide where to eat last Sunday, wanted something different and stumbled across Joella's. We got the (white meat) chicken plates with sides. Enjoyed the green beans, mac & cheese and kale salad. They were out of mashed potatoes but they gave us a free side to make up for it. The portion was somewhat small for the kale salad but it was good. Everything was very good! The fried chicken was well seasoned and super tasty. The staff was very friendly. We will go back again for another try!”

“I’ve been wanting to eat here for months! I love the look of this restaurant’s exterior, as it reminds me of restaurants in California on the beach. There were 5 of us who ate here, all got something different, and all of us really enjoyed what we got. The portion sizes are about perfect! Not overwhelming but not small either. They seasoned and cooked their food perfectly. They also have a decent selection of foods and a very generous selection of drinks to choose from! Some of the drinks are way overpriced in my opinion (like the virgin Frozen Pineapple drink my daughter got - no alcohol so it should be so pricey!! And it didn’t hold much liquid in it.) but they are very tasty. They DO have a “happy hour” each day, so if you can go during those times, I’d recommend that. We will be eating here again!”
