“I have been here several times, and the food has been consistently wonderful (except one time when the cornbread was hard and dry). I love the oysters and catfish. The burger is big and juicy. The few brunch items I’ve had have been tasty, although I didn’t love the grits. The coffee is wonderful- a pleasant surprise. There’s a bar that serves a variety of mixed drinks, but the wine selection is extremely limited. Service is typically “leisurely,” so don’t go if you are in a rush. All but one of the times I’ve gone, the service was very friendly. Sometimes tips are automatically added, sometimes there are not, so be sure to check your bill. I’ve had it automatically added for parties of one to three but not automatically added for a party of ten. Go figure. Even though they serve breakfast all day and they offer breakfast potatoes as a side on their dinner menu, they stop serving breakfast potatoes at 4:00, So after that time, salmon is served only with mashed potatoes as no substitutions were allowed when I asked. Despite the service inconveniences, I will definitely continue to return to this spot for the delicious food.”

“It's a small little place with just enough space inside to order, but everyone was friendly. The burger was honestly pretty phenomenal. I like the crush sauce and the meat had good texture and taste. Prices are not quite as egregious as other places. There's lots of customization options for your burger which is cool. The one complaint I have is the mac and cheese. I'd bet money it is just Stouffer's because that is exactly what it tastes and looks like (see picture). So I'd skip that next time but I'll definitely be back.”

“Never thought I'd find authentic Hawaiian shaved ice. But here I am blown away by the treats "Twin Kookies & Gemelos Shaved Ice" has to offer. This local store was surprising clean, welcoming, with a touch of the aloha spirit. We also tried their freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. It's one of the only stores that will serve the cookie warm! Literally, melts in your mouth. We will certainly be back. Mahalo!”

“I do not recommend going here for food if you don't have 30 to 45 minutes to wait for a grilled cheese. The coffee is delightful and is completed in a timely manner. I asked the girl behind the counter after the third time approaching to find out about my order (two grilled cheese sandwiches and a chicken salad sandwich) and she said it was normal for it to take 30 minutes to get my food. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the wait. I left 3 stars because the coffee is good. I updated my review from three stars to four after the owner responded. I simply wish that at the time of ordering I was given a estimated time for when the food would be ready. I appreciate the response from ownership. Thank you for receiving my feedback”

“I can't say enough good things about this place. I had planned a birthday party for my boyfriend with 17 people. Unfortunately the place we were supposed to go couldn't accommodate us so we went to Rodney's instead. 17 people walked in without a reservation and the hostess could not have been more gracious about seating us. They scrambled to put a table together for us and subsequently gave us some of the best service I have ever had - the staff were truly the nicest people and I felt like we were treated like family. We were also extraordinarily happy to find the the food was PHENOMENAL. We don't live close but I would drive back to go here just because it was so wonderful. I am very grateful for this restaurant and am so appreciative that they helped make my boyfriend's birthday so special. THANK YOU. 10/10 recommend”

“Ultra Chill Spot! I love how they have the to go section set up, it’s decked out with straws, sweeteners and other condiments to ensure a smooth in and out experience. This location just remodeled and it looks so spiffy!!! The outside is modern and sleek with a patio that is pretty open so you feel comfortable actually getting some work done outside on a laptop. “Stopped here when We were in town visiting family. I got a grilled chicken salad and was impressed by how much flavor the chicken had. My hubby really enjoyed the braised wings and fried rice. I spoke with the guy at the counter and he said it’s a family recipe. He and his grandfather run the business together. It’s always great to be able to support a local small business.
